I just recieved my Year of A Million Dreams DVD in the mail, can't wait to look at it when I get off work!

However, as I was looking at the pamphlet that was included in the package I noticed that it had everything to do with WDW and nothing to do with DL

Is the DVD going to be the same way? And, can I find a pamphlet such as the one included for DL?

I would call Disneyland or look them up on the computer. I believe I saw a place to click on and order infor on the Land only. So sorry this happened to you. i know how disappointed you must have been.

I've re-applied for strictly disneyland again, I'm hesitant about the “One per household” rule as I JUST received my last one. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens. I would LOVE to contact disney directly but I only have the disney world contact number as it was included in my package (I'm joking, I'm looking for a DL contact number now)

Thanks for your help! I really appreciate it :worship:

My Disney vacation planning DVD has both WDW and DL resorts represented. I just ordered it about three months ago, so unless they've already changed it, I think you can find both programs on it.

Hope that helps

Thanks so much I really appreciate it!!! I'll call them when I get home~:cool1:

You know, I find it funny that the happiest place on earth doesn't have a 1800 number... Just an observation I made

I've got to say I was really disappointed in the planning dvd. It seemed to me all it was was an advertisement. I've already decided to go . . . I thought it would have more specific info on it.

Definitely an advertisement.

So is it worth watching this DVD?!?!

IMO? No. Especially if it's the one that starts off with people in clouds, talking about all of their dreams coming true at Disney. That one bugs me so much...I love Disneyland/DCA, and I long to go to all the parks, but I don't consider my trips to be dreams come true...my dreams are a bit bigger than that!

And yet I have something like 3 of the DVDs from various years...I keep hoping they will be better!:rotfl:

Oh, and the biggest bonus from ordering the most recent DVD was that I ended up getting several emails from disney destinations with PIN codes in them. For WDW, but still, codes are good. Though I haven't used any. Hmm.:headache:

I agree with bumpershoot that it isn't worth the time. The dvd actually annoyed me since it showed all these happy people already there and I am still months away.

I think its worth watching the DVD's because it gets you revved up for the actual trip, and brings back memories of being there. Also, if you have no clue about the theme parks (which I doubt is the case, since you're on here), its a good overview of what they are about. It gives you a first glimpse of the resort and the attractions there.

As far as a planning guide, it really isn't that useful. You're better off looking up the information on the DL section of allears or maybe mouseplanet, an unofficial guide book or even better just asking the questions to fellow DIS peeps.

Ditto on being disappointed with the DVD - worst one I've seen so far. It has both WDW and DL but not much on DL. Mostly various people talking with a white background.

Actually, I happened to stumble upon this forum less than a month ago, I have NEVER been to DL (and only went to WDW when I was 6, so I barely remember it) which is why I thought it would be a really good idea to get the DVD so I could know what I was getting myself into. (I think you're right disneyobsessed, I have gotten so much information off of this forum!

I think I'll look through the DVD because it can't hurt and if it really bothers me I'll just come back on here and vent about it!

Thanks again

I got the Vacation Planning DVD in the mail a few weeks ago and it has both Disneyland and WDW info on it. I like to pop it in the DVD player every so often and it really gets the kids excited about our upcoming trip! :thumbsup2

They do, but usually when you search for the number, you get the 714 area code.

Reading this thread made me wonder which DVD I got. I ordered it about 2-3 weeks ago? I can't remember and it still isn't here yet. Which.. I'm not worried about because I'm not going for another month! :) But how long does the shipping usually take? I know they said 4-6 weeks.. Is there anyway of knowing the shipping detail with a track # ?

Watched the DVD and it had some interesting information, at least I now know where stuff is and what I'm getting myself into :cool1: Overall, you were all right it really doesn't have a lot of information on planning my vacation but, OH WELL! I think that for people like me who had NO idea where anything was it was great to see visuals, Maps just aren't the same as seeing shots of the rides in action!
