....our foster bunnies, that is! We've been fostering two baby bunnies since the end of August. We already have two adult bunnies of our own but we took the babies to help out a rescue organization that was over-flowing with rabbits from a huge rescue project. We committed to keeping them for two months which was up at the end of October. But we like them so much that we haven't been in any hurry to give them back. We're finding that two extra bunnies isn't that much extra work and these guys would be hard-pressed to find a family that spoils them as much as we do!

So on Christmas morning, we're thinking of putting the bunnies in a carrier under the Christmas tree with a tag to our boys that says, "Merry Christmas! We're keeping them!" I know the boys (14 and 11) would go nuts if we did that! They've been begging every day to keep the bunnies and we just keep giving our standard answer, "We'll see." We're just about to contact the rescuers and make the adoption official. Can't wait for Christmas morning to see my two favorite faces light up with delight!!!!!

Did you by any chance see last nights Hallmark movie A Dog Named Christmas? Your story kinda reminds me of the movie.

No, I didn't see that movie but I'll look for it in case they play it again. Nice to meet another bunny person. Our two adult bunnies are also rescues.
