I think we're going to Japan!!!

The Japanese Club at my son's school may be going to Japan in June!!! If everything works out, we'll be there for 7-10 days. And we'll only be 30 minutes away from DISNEYLAND.

I think the parents are more excited about this than the kids are. (They're in the 6th grade)

The teacher is amazing. She took a group of 11th grade students to Japan for a month last summer, and another group went to France for two weeks in October.

We are meeting with her next Thursday to get some basic info
about the trip. Of course I can't wait that long. Can someone please tell where I can start looking to get some information about touring Japan with 11 year olds?

I am so excited! I've never been off of the east coast.

I was in Okinawa briefly, years ago and always wanted to go to mainland Japan! You are so lucky! Buy some language tapes, and familiarize yourself with the currency. Read about temples and the culture. Good luck!

I'm going to pick up some books and language tapes this weekend. I'll keep you all posted on the plans.
