When flight fares popped up from our home airport (Glasgow) to Orlando International last weekend for £375, we immediately booked our tickets - of course. Having just checked back yesterday to the same website, the same fares have shot up to £720. Thank goodness my wonderful wife :wizard: checks the online fares regularly or we would certainly have missed what appears to have been a 4 day window. With 10 in our party we have saved an astonishing £3450 on this particular flight. Enough in fact to buy DW an extra icecream at Beaches and Cream to show her how much I care puckerup: .

Incidentally, I wonder if all you out there are as sad as we are (I suspect you are) for having booked our flights for next July, immediately out came all the videos and photos from our previous visits to remind us of the fantastic hols we've spent with Mickey before. I probably wouldn't admit as much to some of our close friends here at home, but here, on these boards, I suspect you will all be nodding knowingly, in agreement. :grouphug:

Apologies for the blank countdown clock from our October visit but I'm having difficulty setting up a new one, doh! :badpc: :guilty:

Nodding knowingly in agreement here ;) LOL

I think your wife deserves at least two icecreams for getting that fantastic price!!

Hi

Me too. I get so excited. :cloud9: We are leaving on the 18th October. I am already looking at transfer prices and wanting to book these aswell. Anything just so I am doing something. We were going to take a car, but decided we will use their transport like we did in 96 and 2003. :moped:

I am always looking on the websites, looking at photos, talking to my dh all the time about it and everyone or everything else their is to talk about. He must get so bored of me.:bored:

I have also decided to go into Thomas Cook and pay installments monthly on the flydrive, so we will be doing something about our holiday and watching the balance go down and down. Oh I am sad..... lol..... no just excited.:hyper2:

Great prices on the flights by BTW!!!! Is that direct? Who are you flying with?

you better put me on that list too
BTW i can't seem to get the countdown clock on my replys here what am I doing wrong :flower1:

Hi Cath, good to hear from you again.

The flights are with US Airways and fly to Orlando International via Philadelphia. Times are pretty good though. We take off from Glasgow Int at 12.45 (lunchtime) so we are not having to get up at the crack of dawn (though with 10 in the house overnight I think we'll be up anyway :hyper: ). Philly seems to be a 7 and half hours flight - 90 minutes later we take off again for MCO (a 2 and a half hour flight) arriving at 19.37 just in time to take in some 4th July atmosphere.

The return leaves Orlando at 15.30 and once again via Philly we arrive in Glasgow at 08.25 the following morning with just the short 20 minute drive home. Didn't DW do well?

She spotted the flight on www.airline-network.co.uk

We had a great week in Paris for Halloween BTW, our first visit to DLP.

Still can't get the countdown clock to work though.......
