Someone suggested my poem should be a sticky. I am thinking that since there has been some troubles lately perhaps we should have a sticky entitled "How to be a Swap Hostess"

The experienced hostesses could brainstorm some basic ideas and some hints and tips. Explain how to start the swap, sort the swap, ordering boxes from the USPS, mailing the boxes etc.

This way those of us who are new could have some guidance if we decide to host.

If this information is already posted please forgive me. I am having one of those days where I feel very absent minded.

(You could add my poem too)

Swap Hostess

Sometimes things happen, things go awry
we all do our best we give it a try
But when something comes up
or something goes wrong
It's time to fess up do your best to be strong

Face the facts and let us know
what happend to you? did you stub your toe?
we really do understand
It's leaving us in the dark that's not grand

So answer our questions
Maybe apologize too
All will be well after thinking it through
Just remember what you have to do
Pack up the boxes,
take your car for a drive
The post office is open today until Five!

Rather than add another stickie (we already have 8), why not add it to the Swap Rules stickie and build off that one.:)

I can change the title if you would like.

On the UKScrappers swap boards they only allow "accredited" swappers to have free rein. Until you have been passed (reliable AND producing a "satisfactory" standard) you are limited to only one or two "newbie" swaps at a time. I think you need 5 swaps (or more) to become accredited. They are also VERY specific about materials - for example, they have "CM only" swaps where you are not allowed to use so much as a brad :confused3 You can see why I stay here:rotfl2: :thumbsup2
