Stuck in the middle If she cancels within 14 days or whatever time frame she has, the room will be there for others for FD. If she booked under the Disney Visa she had to pay the deposit & that was not showing up on the Disney web site I don't believe; only when it open to general public it was showing on web site. I could be wrong on this point. But when it became open to general public couldn't you put a 10 day hold on it? At least that what my friend did until she could check with her hubby who was on a business trip. Though she booked it that night once she talked to her DH. Part of me say it isn't right especially if she doesn't cancel soon so others could use it but part of me understand her logic but I would make up my mind within two days or sooner so it would be free for others. But I didn't have to worry about getting free dining as I got it last year during the bounce back but I did add the deluxe dining to it last week. I can understand where this would cause problems.

I had a friend last year who made three deposits with different dates & then would decide on which dates & which resorts. I didn't say anything as she thought she knew it all about Disney been once & she know it all But in the end she didn't go so that was three resorts & dates gone that someone else could have used. I did tell her that but she knew it all so I said fine but you wouldn't like it if someone did that to you. So I guess it is up to that person to decide fast so others could use it. Did she book for the same dates? I am suprised Disney haven't caught that. When I book one vacation with them they can see that I have upcoming trips in their computers

I say who cares? No one books their vacation(s) thinking how it will affect others, they are concerned with themselves (as it should be). If you are looking for a specific resort, keep calling that resort, an opening will happen, not everyone will keep their reservation. As for Disney cancelling, I don't think they can, how can they be 100% sure it isn't for another family, just being reserved and paid for by someone else? And how many people in this world have the same names, ever tried to get a mortgage and see exactly how many????
