Thank goodness for all the newest and latest.... and of course all the old stand bys!
Initially when I started to scrap I used those sissors and cut my pictures in to terrible shapes....
Then I became more refined...and went with the basic shapes but lots of pattern paper all over the place...
then I went to a little of pattern, little solid and very little embellishments.
Now I am almost totally solid card stock. but I love embellishments and die cuts and chalk! I love computer journalling on vellumm. My pages are very very simple now but I love it....but what do I do with all this patterned paper???? wait till I swing back!
My books are even starting to get a little lumpy...not super thick but a little...
NICURN must be rubbing off on me!!

I hear ya!! I love my Bazzill and could probably do all my layouts using just that. BUT I also like PP and did some really cool layouts using Basic Grey. Go figure... those are some of my most recent favorites!! (Although I'm working with all Bazzill ATM with a few MM embellishments... LOL!!)

Spinning, you sound like me. We must have started around the same time. I too have some PP left and what I have started to do is use it to create simple borders. I tear and chalk both sides (I make it about 2" wide) and then place about 1/2" from edge to make a border. With little effort I have a nice border that coordinates with my pictures. If I didn't have any PP I could easily use all cardstock and embellishments.

Use the patterned paper for making tags, cards, let the kids do crafts with it. Or else just send it my way!

Pam you are too funny! I have given a lot to DD! She is now scrap booking...I need to get more into the card making...so little time.
Don't htink I can box it up and send it to you I still have this comfort feeling knowing that I have it! LOL! I jsut have to make sure I don't buy more. That is the hard part! I don't use it but I still collect it! Go

I have at least 5 spiral bound , no page protectors type books. Inside are pictures I mutilated with "the scissors".....oh my!!! What were we thinking. And pages I can remember doing back that, I thought they were so wonderful...YUCK! I would do them over if I could. How sad. But we have learned and haved moved on:)
My books are definately much simplier, and I too have stacks of patterened papers. I love card stock, chalk and stickers. I use the patterened paper for borders, squares etc. It will get used eventually. I like simple the best I think it shows off your pictures, or at least you can see the pictures now. I have pages where I used several printed papers...ewwwwww. LOL!!! Thats what keeps of LSS in business, our changing moods.

I asked my DD to hide the 1st SB I made. Its sooo bad. My style thank goodness has changed.

Bazzill is my passion LOL

I have another HUGE change I have made over the years...
i use to scrap EVERY picture (yes using those awfeul funky scissors and tacky papers too!)
NOW I pick my favorites to scrap - much easier to look at the books that is for sure!
