I think my Molly might need another surgery Update post 35

The first 2 or 3 days are going to suck. She is going to have the most pitiful look on her little face and sleep a lot. Then the fun part of carrying her all over to go outside and watching the leg "flump" over. It's so sad it's cute. She will be fine and will be as good as new in a few weeks. Our Bichon had ACL repair last summer.

Molly was scheduled for a clip tomorrow. She is going to be such a mess when she able to have clip. The collar thingie is fun too.

I'm sure Molly will make it through spectacularly with a mom like you. :grouphug:

And, Tonya those alternative collars are a hoot!

Just got back from the vet. Molly will have surgery tomorrow on her right ACL. There appears to be some other damage to the knee as well, but the dr said they could take care of all of that at once. We can bring her home on Thursday. Then 6 fun weeks of keeping her quiet. And on a diet.

Here's some pixie dust for a quick recovery. :tink:

I hope everything goes well for Molly.

Grey parrot dust from my parrot (it's as good as pixie dust, I swear :rolleyes1) for your Molly!

The good news is you have been through this before so you know what to expect. I find that owners have a much easier time coping the second time around since the experience isn't new for them. Good Luck!

from our Molly to yours...wishes for a speedy recovery!! :goodvibes

The vet called and Molly got through the surgery just fine. We should be able to bring her home tomorrow.

Thank you everyone for your good wishes and pixie dust. It is going to be a long 6 weeks. Been there done that before. At least we know what to expect.

Well, the whining has begun. Molly is starting to feel better and does not want to be in her enclosure. She also wants to get at her incision, but the e-collar is taking care of that. She gets the stitches out on the 9th. Then we just have another 6 weeks after that keeping her from jumping and running around.

This is always the hardest part, isn't it?! Hang in there.
