to wvjules and welcome mdjules. I have lived here for 3.5 years now so it is probably time to lose the "wv". :(

I will always be a Mountaineer at heart.

Now, how do I do that?

If you are asking, technically, how do you change your username, the answer is you can't. If you want to keep your post count and joining date then you are stuck with wvjules.

You can always start a new account with a new username if you really want to, but I would just change your "tag" you put in to "now officially mdjules" or something like that. Then you will always be a Mountaineer at heart and a wvjules on the DIS!

Oh, and when I read mdjules I thought that meant you had graduated med school at first so you might find more trouble than it is worth if you switch to that!

What she said. Besides, it just wouldn't be right. Some people just shouldn't change their names around here! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:lmao: I've been in Michigan for almost 10 years now and I'm still NMAmy. I'm okay with it--MIAmy looks like I don't know how to spell Miami.

Well now my tag just looks silly!

i want to keep my post count so I don't look like a troll so I'm stuck with wvjules I guess. :)

I wanted to change my user name about a year ago but decided to keep it when I learned I'd lose my post count and my tags that I worked so hard for.

You'll always be wvjules to me, but we can call you mdjules if you like. :)

You'll always be NMAmy to me. :lovestruc

I love your username!:thumbsup2

I love yours. It makes me smile when I mis-read it. :rotfl2:

My husband hates mine. He doesn't read here very often so what does he care if I sound like a homeless woman?

I'm glad we can't change names, though. I'd never know who mdjules was.

You have too much history here to give up, Jules. Besides, there are enough name changers here. Keep it wvjules.

You have to keep wvjules! I think of you every time I drive through WV. I don't drive through Md, so I can't think of you then! :upsidedow

I have also thought about starting a new account with a new user name. My "feral" days are long gone. I'm more of a "Tamepeg" now, but it just seems to difficult to mess with.

That's ok. I should have dropped the 34 from Kitty about 6 years ago when my son finally graduated from college and doesn't have that as a basketball # anymore. :)

You were the one that actually convinced me to keep mine!

I remember :goodvibes

As I always tell people (and probably told Luv2Scrap) if there was a way to change your DIS username I would have changed mine long ago! ;)Unfortunately by the time I realized how people were reading it I didn't want to have to start over. And I like my crappy name now!

I have belonged to quite a few forums since they beginning of time and I have only recently found one that lets you change your username at will. Anytime you want you can go in and change it to something else. I find that very strange.

:( Well I guess I am a troll! I've been on the Dis since 2000 under a different name at first (for my young DD, Jasmine206) then I renamed myself last year - and neither time was I able to get my post count to the thousands! I guess I'll never be able to keep up! ;)

There have been many times when I've regretted picking "Luvflorida". I chose it because, well, I love Florida.:) I never thought about the fact that many people have thought I actually live in Florida. I've visited Florida a lot, but have never lived there. And, I used to live in Maine, but now live in Arizona, hence the "Mainiac in AZ" tag. You could put "md" in a tag under your name. I'm sure you know that, but just thought I'd mention it.:rotfl:

I never knew that the "34" in your name stood for your son's basketball number. I always assumed it had something to do with your age or someone else's age. I learn something new everyday.:upsidedow
