Last year we hid eggs with clues in them where to find the next egg. The last clue brought the kiddo to a new game. She had a great time doing it so we are doing again this year. I'd rather spend $20 on a game than $20 on candy since both sets of grandparents will provide enough candy.
Some years easter is bigger than others, if she has outgrown her bike we'll get a new one for easter. When she was 3 the easter bunny left a swingset. She was getting one anyway so we let the easter bunny take the credit. Now she's 9 and I don't want her thinking it's a major gift giving holiday, so $20 is my max.
