If I ever knew running 5Ks would be so addictive, I might not have ever started.

I ran my third just over a week ago and am already scouting out opportunities for at least one more race before winter.

So, it's looking like I'll be shaking my tailfeathers in a local Turkey Trot coming up in November. :D

I'm going to do one as well!

I'm also going to do a Halloween run and dress up (using my Princess 1/2 marathon tutu and crown - I need to get some more use out of it!). :rotfl:

I want to do one, but I cannot this year. :sad1:

Because I will be at WDW, and they don't have one. :woohoo:

(Sorry - the ticker just dropped down to 50 days, so the happy dance gains another step or two.)

It is funny you posted this! I 'just' signed up for a 5K Turkey Trot on Nov 24 (Thanksgiving Day). And I was already signed up for another one on Nov 26th.

I figure it would be fun, the goodie bags are awesome, and I will bracket my Thanksgiving feast with the two 5Ks so perhaps I won't gain any weight overall for the week. :rotfl:

MotoMiker said that I must be just like him.....nuts. :rotfl2:

Gotta love a Turkey Trot- I'm looking forward to doing my 4th this year! I feel way better about Thanksgiving dinner if I've done a run beforehand. (now if I can just convince the rest of the family I don't need to hostess Thanksgiving this year. LOL)

I'll be doing a 5M Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. It'll make for some guilt-free eating that night. :woohoo:

Ok, I'm officially signed up - and glad to see I'm not the only addict. ;)

This run isn't on Thanksgiving though, it's Nov. 12 - close enough, but I'll still have to bust my butt on the treadmill on Turkey Day so I can enjoy my dinner. :D

The Two Gomers podcast is doing a Turkey Trot challenge for their fall season, so I've been scoping out one near my parents' place. I'll probably sign up for it, though getting up early enough to make it to the race (reviews from last year are critical of the pre-race logistics) is not my idea of the best Thanksgiving morning.

I am doing a 4 mile Turkey Trot. I figure a nice morning run will be better than a hang over from black wednesday:rotfl:.

The turkey trot last year was my first 5K and I just signed up for the same race this year. It was a lot of fun, but I'm hoping for a much better time this year!

I'll be doing the 10k Turkey Trot in Miami! It'll be my 1st 10k, and then I can eat as much Thanksgiving mashed potatoes as I want! :cool1:

I'm also doing one....the 13th Annual Reno/Sparks Turkey Trot 10k  It will be my first 10k and the halfway point in my training for the Tinkerbell Half in January. It's Thanksgiving morning so I won't feel too guilty eating a plateful of sweet potatoes, stuffing, and pie!!! I'm very excited and looking forward to taking part in something that's has a pretty big following here in our town :)
