"I think I need my head examined" A camsmomE TR in AUG 2010 <<Updated 11/02/10>&g

That's too bad about your meal at WCC. I loved the cornbread too....I could seriously have eaten that and only that:rolleyes1

Whew...all caught up. Your pictures are so amazing. it really makes the report come to life. (as if your writing didn't do enough to bring it to life) My tr will not have such good pics.. :sad2:

Congrats on the water slide. I would be the same way. I am not much for water parks. It makes it good on the wallet when we go to WDW since I don't get the waterpark option...but still....somehow, maybe someday I should get over my aversion as well.

The pool looked great...ducks and all. I think every time we go we see ducks in the pool of whatever hotel we are staying at. Strange critters....

Sorry your dinner didn't turn out so well. It was nice you got leftovers...but good point...what good are they if you didn't like the food to begin with.

Well at least you had a great waitress! I actually loved the chicken there! Well the breast anyway. And I had the s'mores cheesecake as well and wasn't overly impressed.

I hope the rain held up a bit for the parade. Aren't those ponchos horrible!? I don't think we'll ever get them again! Especially in the hot, humid weather they just stick to you!

That's so disappointing about the food at WCC! That salad looks really good! And that cheesecake looks fantastic! What a shame! :sad2:

I am surprised. We have only eaten at WCC once, and it was our Thanksgiving dinner in 2007. It was not the same menu that you got however. All the food was brought to the table in a big skillet and placed on a lazy Susan (poor Susan... has to go through life as lazy:rotfl2:) Anyway, our menu was Turkey, stuffing, potatoes (possibly cornbread), green beans, maybe ribs...??... don't remember it all, but we were very happy with the food and service. Since this was Thanksgiving, we got pumpkin pie for dessert, which worked out fine for me and my BIL, but the others would have preferred apple. It was a fixed menu for Thanksgiving. This year, we'll be at Chef Mickey for Thanksgiving, I've heard very mixed reviews, so I'm hoping for the best. Sorry your dinner was yucky!

On the cheesecake, once you've eaten at the Cheesecake Factory other cheesecake is just a little less :sad2:

an aside on cheesecake... at the Pop Century, their signature dessert is called Tie-dye cheesecake. Its probably just plain cheesecake, but the colors are a mishmash of bright deep red, blue, green, yellow, orange... I can just taste the chemical food dye looking at it. Its very popular... :confused3

So sorry you had such a bad experence at WCC. I ate there twice. The first time we got the skillet and it was really good. The second time it was blah. No where near as good as the first time I went. The food was so greasy I couldnt choke it down. And the flavor was just yuck. It was like eating at a different place all together!

Funny how they gave you a skillet to take back to your room. We were just at WCC a couple of weeks ago, staying at WL and my mom and I ordered room service, one single skillet. OMG! They sent up enough food to feed an army! It looked like a huge buffet all laid out in our room. It was pretty disgusting and we wasted a lot of food. I felt bad but with no microwave I don't know what we would do with 1/2 a brisket, 1/2 a chicken, etc. We used 2 credits for that meal. Well spent for all the food we got.

I am so glad to read this. We recently stayed at pop and I contemplated getting that but all I could think was it would be horrid and taste like food coloring. In the end, not having broke down and got one I wondered if I missed out. Glad to know...I made the right choice. :thumbsup2

Well, I actually never tried it. I can just taste the chemicals looking at it because I am a cake decorator. I have experience with the food colorings that they use for the cake. I can taste the chemicals in the frosting, so I always scrap the frosting off. Its for looks really anyway. The red food coloring is available in a "flavorless" version, because if you don't get that one, its REALLY bad. But that is the only color I know of that comes in flavorless. I'm sure you and I both made the right decision. Better to go over to Olivia's and get some real delicious Key Lime pie!! That's a much better way to spend your calories.:dance3:

Me three! C'mon Miss teacher-lady! You're report is WAY past due! :rotfl2:

Me four!! but I can't talk... I haven't even STARTED yet!! I better get a move on... I'm back in 58 days!

but I do know where my journal is.... its right here on the floor next to my feet upside down!

Where did you go??? I'm ready for some more!:goodvibes

MAN! heehee... Ok ladies... HERE is where I have been... ready? ready? PLANNING TWO MORE DISNEY TRIPS!!!

We leave in 7 days for Pop Century to take Cameran to see Mickey for her 2nd birthday.

THEN... I did get chosen to attend the conference in November-- three days at the Yacht Club (I know, I know, what a life I have!)

Plus Cam's party os Saturday, so I've been redoing the entire house (this happens when I know my in-laws are coming... meaning Mike's side of the family- all of them)

I am however HOPING to be able to sneak a day's worth of TR in before bed tonight- but I DO have grading, test-making, 4 more loads of laundry, and potty training between me and getting that done. I'm crossing my fingers that the pot of coffee I just drank and the energy drink I'll have with dinner will assist in making it happen. Just for YOU! *hugs*

:goodvibes So good to hear from you. I figured you were just really busy. Course, wow...much busier than I could have guessed.

Congrats on the upcoming trips!!! I have stayed at both places. Yacht Club is so nice. (much more grown up though) Pop is fun...but, if you have even glanced at my TR, you will see I didn't like the buses. Such a shame too, since it really is a nice resort.

Happy Birthday to Cam, btw!!!!:cake:

OMG! 2 more trips planned already! And next week???!!! We love Pop, it is a lot of fun. I haven't really used the buses much so I'm not a big help with that. But that's where we're staying in Nov. When are you going in November?

You can NOT be going again in a week! TWO trips before I get to even go on ONE? So not fair!! :rotfl2:

Seriously though, that is totally awesome! I'm so jealous!

And I know what you means ALL of those in-laws  My BF has 2 brothers and 2 sisters, 1 nephew, 4 nieces, and one great-nephew. It doesn't seem like a lot, but when they're all together in one place yelling, I mean...er...talking...to each other (loudly..in Spanish...), it sounds like an army. Good luck with that! :thumbsup2

And YAY FOR MORE DISNEY PLANNING!!!! :woohoo::woohoo:

I just read your trip report and can't wait to read more. Your DD is just too cute.:cutie:

We were at the Pop in August and the buses were excellent. We RARELY had much of a wait. Maybe because it was August, and busy, they may have run more buses? I don't know but we had no problems, and the ride to DHS was like less than 10 minutes, and EPCOT barely more than that. Only MK is about 15 minutes. Ak was fairly short too, but I don't remember exactly on the time because we didn't go there that much this trip. We spent no less than 3 days (mostly partial days) at DHS. That was new for us since we hardly ever spend much time there.

Can't wait til you have more time to write. But at least you are writing. I haven't started mine even though my journal is RIGHT there on the couch next to me. Hopefully after my workout class tomorrow, in between laundry loads, I'll have time to start!
