DD11 just developed a pineapple allergy. It's mild but her pediatrician is worried that it will get worse with more exposure.
She doesn't eat pineapple often but the past few times she's had it she's gotten tingly lips and tongue.

I've never been because we had never been able to get an ADR and this time I was able to and now this happens :(

When you make your ADR, if you indicate she's allergic to pineapple on your ADR, they will make sure none of the food she eats has pineapple in it. Many ppl have this problem with other things such as gluten, nuts, etc. They take allergies very seriously. I wouldnt cancel. Esp since the allergy is pretty mild. But Disney is great with stuff like this. You might want to reconsider!

I honestly don't think it will be a problem. Disney is SO good with food allergies and even if there is nothing from Ohana she can eat (which I am sure there is), I am willing to bet they will prepare her a special meal or let her order from the Kona menu.

Not all the food at 'Ohana has pineapple in it. List her allergy on your reservation (call WDW-DINE to do this if you have to) and they will help you and her get food that she can eat.

I agree with other posters...don't cancel O'Hana...the food is too good! As others have said, note the allergy on your reservation. When you check in, they will verify the allergy, as will the waiter/waitress. The chef will come out to talk to you and make sure your daughter has food that is safe, yet yummy. My DD has a gluten allergy and the chef was excellent with her. All of Disney's table service meals have been nothing short of fantastic with her allergy.

We went with our DD10 who is allergic to pineapple and dd20's friend who is a Jewish vegetarian allergic to citrus. They accommodated everyone. The chef came out and discussed requirements (mostly necessary for DD20's friend) and we had no problem. Disney is very used to accommodating peoples special health needs.

My dd is allergic to milk and wheat and we have never ran into problems at Disney...they are wonderful when it comes to this sort of thing. Every restaurant we have been to the chef comes out and will go over everything that is safe and always offers to make something special for my dd....even desserts!

I've never dined anywhere that takes allergies more seriously than the restaurants at WDW. If 'Ohana is one of your top choices, then by all means dine there and note the allergy on the ADR. The chefs will take good care of you.
