Okay I went into the grocery store to get cash back for my son that I had just dropped off at the skating rink. I had planned to pay his way with my debit card but they only take the cards if you spend 20 or more when you pay admission. SO I used the cash I had given him for food to get him in the door. THEN I ran over to the grocery store next door to buy something so I could get cash back.
I decided on bananas. We needed them anyway. SO as I was walking towards the self check out...I NOTICED BARILLA pasta on SALE. These are the 1 pound boxes. You could get 5 boxes for 4 bucks. THAT CAUGHT MY EYE. The are regularly 1.67 a box. So two boxes are 3.34 before the discount of 1.74 for the two. So I grabbed two of their new Piccolini Mini shapes. I paid and when I was done I got a store coupon for 1.00 off two more boxes of the same pasta. WELL....I just had to go back and grab 2 more. LOL
SO I did and I paid 60 cents TOTAL for two. We don't pay tax here in MD for food either. Well ONCE AGAIN ANOTHER COUPON POPS OUT. SO................ I went back and grabbed two more boxes and used that coupon. Of course another coupon was SPIT out again, but I didn't go back this time. I was able to get SIX 1 pound boxes for 2.80 cents after all was said and done. I got three varieties too. They don't expire until May 2013.
