Going this Feb for the first time with fp+. I'm thinking is going to be great for us because of certain factors. We stay for 10 days, rent a car, get hoppers and water parks. With that being said we could make 3 fp+ a day in a small window then hit a couple small attractions then out the door. We have more time to hop to other parks for other small attractions, fireworks or even hit a water park. I'm thinking it's really going to give us more time to do other things. Fp+ on a shorter trip could seem to be a pain but I hope it works for us.

We liked it on our 6 day trip. Liked it better than the old system, though I'd like to be able to plan for park hopping with 2 fp in one park and 1. In another to start

It worked very well for me on a short trip with hoppers also. I would go to one park in the morning and do several things early, then hop to a different park to use FP. On a 4 day trip I used FP one evening at HS, and the other 3 days my FP were all at MK. I didn't need them at AK or Epcot in the morning

We did not love fp because we wanted to do more in a day than we could do in the same timeframes as previous trips . and we realized fp+ would never work for us on shorter trips again(we had 14 days this time). That said we ended up doing what you are indicating you are hoping for, that is 3 or 4 then out. If this is what you're looking for then I think fp will work very well for you.

If your plan is to park hop regularly, you should think about using your 3 FP+ reservations at your second park later in the day.

If you get to a park at opening, or shortly after, you can do a few major attractions and a few minor ones in the first few hours after opening without FPs. Then you can use your FPs at the second park to do a couple of major attractions there.
