When I came home from work today, I came up the stairs to my apt., and rounded the corner, to be greeted by a big pile of trash...in bags, of course. But trash. My first thought is that my DH brought it out before he left for work today. Fine, that's not like him, but whatever. So I proceed inside...
What I see prompts me to cautiously enter and check all the closets and behind the shower curtain to make sure no one was still there. You see, the place was...how shall I say this...IMMACULATE!!!! I am not a slob, but believe me, by Friday afternoon, the place is looking a little worn. But now, everything is clean!! The only things that were not done was the laundry, the patio, and the kitty box. Being that I am the only person who ever cleans anything, I am beyond shocked.
So I call DH to get to the bottom of this. "What happened?" I ask him. He claims there was not much to do at the office today, so he started in the living room, and he just really got into cleaning and just kept going and going!
"Did you hire a maid?" I ask. Cause this is really not like him, and he had mentioned hiring one not too long ago. No, he says, it was all him.
So now I'm thinking. It really is lovely to come home to a beautiful clean home, but something must be up. This is not normal DH behavior. I figure someone he hasn't seen in awhile is coming over...I can't think of any other reason why he would clean the house from top to bottom like this. I'm not complaining
but something must be up!!
I'm just going to bask in the warmth of knowing I have very little housework to do this weekend!
