I have THE most obnoxious Long Island accent (and thats LONG ISLAND, no one pronounces it as Lon Giland!) I really can't stand it.
Boston accents were driving me nuts when I went to orientation at school. My boyfriend came back from Bentley and he still says "Bacardi" as "Bacaaadi". The letter "r" is essential to the english language!
I'll get used to it.

Everytime I see My Cousin Vinny and he says Youts for Youths, it reminds me of y'all and youse.
Another southern accent chiming in! Sometimes my friend from New England and I really do have a hard time understanding each other on the phone. It's funny though, bc a lot of people from the South say I don't have a strong accent. LOL
