I'm still waiting for official time to be posted on the race company's site, but it should be under 35:00 minutes, which was my goal.
I was very slow. I was near the end of the finishers . BUT, I wasn't last. I actually passed 2 people at the end and there were people behind me all along. And the best part, 2 months ago I couldn't run longer than a minute at a time! :cool1:

Now I have an official time to beat for my next race. And, there will definately be another one soon! ::yes::

That's great news Pixie! You should be so proud of yourself. Not only have you come a long way in a short time, you weren't afraid to jump in there and give the race a try.:hyper: I hope I can get up enough confidence to enter a race someday. I would like to see if I could do it.

Congratulations!
Kathy

Great job Pixiechick!!

Way to go!

Great job pixiechick! You are an inspiration. I just finished my first week of the Couch Potato to 5K in 2 Months training and it is hard to believ that in 2 months time that I will be able to run 5K!
Congratulations on your first 5K!!!!!

Congratulations - that is quite an accomplishment! :Pinkbounc You should be very proud of yourself!!! ::yes::

I'm so pround of you and am invisioning myself there in a few months. I am going to run my first ever 5K in early July!! I had knee surgery a year ago and have been very timid about the thought of running on it. Yesterday , I did a 1.5 mi walk and ran about a 1/2 mi in 3 sections. I was so proud of myself. I've finally overcome the big FEAR. I am registered for the 1/2 marathon in Jan. Will be there running and walking (if needed) to the finish. I am hoping I won't be last in the 5 K but Last is better than watching. Keep going your way ahead already!!!

Cyber high five!!!!

I don't think 35mins is slow -- considering the lag in the official start time of the clock and your actual start time, assuming a normal crowd at the beginning. That's like 10 min miles and that's pretty darn good in my book!

I'm very proud of you!!! Do you have the race fever??? :)

good job

Im just starting to look into finding them in my area so I can WALK them

Thanks everyone!! The whole experience was pretty cool for a confirmed "non-athlete"!

Yup! I immediately came home and started planning my next one. My husband is sick of my rehashing the race already! :p

OOH I'm so proud of you!!!!! That is fantastic! You are an inspiration to me! Hopefully in a few months I'll be working on my 5k! ;)

Have a great Sunday! I know you must be on top of the world right now!!! :Pinkbounc
