Our class reunion was yesterday and it was very nice to see most of our class members. By the 35th year everyone can be pretty much themselves, less bragging and flaunting, etc. It was sad to see the names of the 15 deceased class mates. Often it is hard to put a name to a face but the year book was there and as I looked up the names, it was hard to believe that they were really gone. Ours was a fairly big class just over 500 but fewer 80 with spouses, etc attended. One girl in my class who lived four houses away from me and whom I didn't like in high school greeted me like a long lost friend. That's fine, I was politely friendly. However, having come by herself, when the music started, she ran right to me while I was seated with my DH and old friends and said "lets dance". I politely begged off but before I knew it, she grabbed my arm and pulled me onto the floor. I mean RIGHT ON THE FLOOR! I quickly picked myself up, explained that I was recovering from reactive airway disease and couldn't dance at that time. She was embarrassed and went away. At the end of the night, I sought her out and said a pleasant goodbye, (better to be gracious since she should have been embarrassed) and privately hope that I don't see her for another 35 years!
