I finally have a Black Friday partner! My DD15 and I went to WalMart but not until 7:30 a.m. We got the digital camera I wanted for my DS and the gps I wanted for my Dad (and one for me ). My DD was great - she found the 2 gps units in odd places where people must have set them who changed their minds (otherwise they were just sold out when we got over there). WalMart handled things very well and the lines were bearable with every register open. They even had enough staff on the floor to actually be helpful.

Target was awful - junky, not enough staff and not many great deals compared to WalMart.

Kohl's was fun - especially for DD who picked out most of her Christmas presents .

Can't wait for next year - it was so much fun with my new favorite shopping partner!

I can't wait until my DD grows older so she can come out with me- she is only 5 so we have a while to wait!!
My DS 10 went with me to Old Navy and that was all for him- tried to talk him into more, but it was a no-go!

I know-isn't it terrible!!!?!
I did drag him, my other son and my DH (and of course my DD who skipped happily to each store) out later on Friday afternoon!

We went shopping yesterday too and like Friday the crowds were not bad. Lots of stuff still on the shelves.

DH and I made it to Walmart (yeah I know) at about 4:15 this morning. After pouring over the ads we decided that's where we would go (had Nintendo DS for $98 and that's what DD wants) and get price matched on a couple of things in other ads. We got all we went after except Madden10 for $25. Needed it for XBox360.....the special was only for Playstation 2. Took the longest to get the DS as they didn't start dispensing them until 5:00 AM. All the other stuff was on pallets/displays in the center aisles and available when we went in so DH stood in line for the DS while I went through the store collecting all the other items. We were out by 6:15 AM.

I got everything I wanted: Walmart- Corline and a bunch of dvds, Shopko: My photo frame (which they didnt have on the shelf but the associate overheard me complaining that we went to walmart first and found me two of them) and kmart- 3 mp3 players and a new pillow. Even made it to Jc Pennys early enough to get a snow globe. We were home and in bed again by 630! It was great, though I dont like the thing I didnt mean to get (A cold, a hacking my head off cold)
