Anyway I sure hope there are. Can't find anything good for pricing, yet. I was going to contact dreams, but i think it's way too soon. Wife priced out a stay for 7 days at the deluxes and with MYWDDP it was in the 8k range, with no air.

Hope we get another 40% code!

Anybody else waiting too? do you think anything at the end of Sept., begining of Oct will come up?

Good Lord that a lotta money! i guess to each his own, i could take 4 vacations to disney with that. but thats my style i guess, i would rather have more vacations and less amenities, than a shorter vacation with more. Im sure they will have the free dining this year, how could they not with this economy.

I also hope that there are some great deals. I told my niece that I would look out for them. She wants to go WDW for her honeymoon. I hope they have a discount or free dining to make things easy.

What about the current deal? I think it was you pay for four and three nights free? Also, if you want a lower cost stay away from the deluxe resorts. Those are top of the line. Stick with a value or moderate and you will significantly lower costs (by 50% at least).

True nikki. But may is too soon. We were discussing that. But we want to give DS one more time to grow. He'll nearly be 2 in sept. It is an option tho!

We are fans of the deluxes. I put in some moderates. But we both hate the bus situations at the mods and the values. Most of the deluxes have such easier bus and transport options (ESP at night coming back!). I don't even like remembering how much of a pain it was using the buses at PO! AKL had great busing situations and so did OKW!

I'm hoping for something in late September. It's my fiancee's last chance for a vacation until our honeymoon in Oct 2010 (she's in clinical rotations until then). Free dining would be excellent, but I'd even take more of the 7/4 deal (is it too much to ask for both, a la Pete?).

We are already booked thru Dreams Unlimited for September and hoping for free dining. I think it would be a better deal for us than the 40% code (even though I haven't received any pins yet) since we are staying at a value.

I calculated everything for us and I think 40% would work better for our family. We only need 2 adult and 1 child DP. According to the Disney site it would be 3390.77 for a week at WL with MYW and dinning. Any discount gets me super close to the number I want! Gotta believe!

I agree, when the 7 for 4 deal came out, it would have cost us more for our preferred length of stay than it did when we went with free dining!

From what I remember, there was another discount for the value resorts I believe, but Disney doesn't allow you to combine your discounts, so it's either free dining, or this, or that, etc. etc.

Hope you figure out a way to go!!!

It's more of how can we get what we want for what we want to pay. We are always looking for a better deal and right now there aren't any discounts

I know, but one of the things I want to do is the waterparks. We have never done them. That's why I want the free dining. I would do 2 park days, 2 water park days and 2 hotel pool days.

We did the commando touring last year, so I think my husband would kill me if I tried that again.

My kids' school doesn't start until after Labor Day, so I got a week in September to kill.

Hmm. I'd strongly recommend Port Orleans French Quarter. It is much better with busing than Riverside, IMHO. We never had any trouble and only go during the peak seasons because of my work schedule (I am a teacher). The only other option I can see is waiting for a good discount and going to Wilderness Lodge which is the cheapest of the deluxes. Still, with any of the deluxes there is going to be bus transportation to somewhere. Not all of them are on the monorail loop and those that are use buses to parks like the Studios or AK.

I would think that if the economy stays where it is, WDW will probably release another discount for the fall. Pete reported in the last podcast that WDW was still down 6% in bookings even after they released this tremendous 7 days for 4 days deal (but better than the previous report of WDW being down by 10%). So if that amazing deal didn't bring them back to normal, it is likely that nothing will. So I would guess that Disney will continue to throw discounts out there on the off season to bulk up resort and/or park attendance.

But it's just a guess ... I personally hope that the economy rebounds quickly (as do many of us, I'm sure). to those most feeling the effects of this economy!

I understand your concern about the buses, but I'll just give you a little piece of anecdotal advice...

I stayed at CSR (yes, the much-maligned CSR, which I loved!). I've never had a better bus situation than I did there. I NEVER waited at either end more than 10 minutes for a bus there. I was in Casitas 5, which is halfway between El Centro and the Dig Site, and very close to a quiet pool and the spa. The location was a short walk across the parking lot to the bus stop. It was the first pickup in the morning, which made it all very pleasant.

Just saying...CSR is an option. Moderates have those pesky fullsize beds, though, and only a single sink rather than a double vanity, but if you can live with that, you might be pleasantly surprised by the resort.
