Congratulations on making a great choice for yourself! I've been on the WISH board just a short while, too. WISHers are GREAT for support, advice and motivation - be sure to ask as many questions as you need to!
Water and exercise are super important - good for you! And salad, well, I'm a huge fan. One thing you might want to consider is making sure you get enough protein. I'm on a version of the Paleolithic Diet, so I eat lots of greens, with a fair amount of protein thrown in, whole grains, not much dairy. My doctor recommended it, and it works for me!
If you're interested, I know a lot of the folks on this board follow either Atkins or Weight Watchers as well. The programs are different, but both seem to be successful. You might want to find out if a structured program would work for you.
Also, each day, I post a "Who exercised" thread, to keep myself motivated - other WISHers say they like it, too. Be sure to let us know about your exercise, and keep us updated on your success.
