any suggestions/advice????

I am a new nursing student and also have the intro to nursing course.

Yeah -- change majors!! (just kidding!! :teeth: )

Good luck -- my sister was a Physical Therapy major and of all the classes she took, she hated Anatomy the most!!

I love Anatomy and Physiology! My advice would be to make sure you're in every class, take lots of notes and make sure you participate in, not just watch, every lab. :D

There are so many terms to learn, make meaning by rhyming or some other poetic form. LOL! In other words, I used to tell myself things like, I hurt my my cunniforms when I wear my uniforms; it's OK to get postassium by eating strawberries and stuff like that. LOL! :D

Like my mom used to say: Put your mind to it and you can do anything. Good luck! :)

God be with you!!!!!!

Just kidding, my wife is in nursing school too. 5 more months and she will be done. She didn't have to much trouble with A&P. Now Patho-Phys was another story!

What I suggest is to get one of those little tape recorders and tape your instructor. It really helped my DW. Good luck!!!!!

I used to take flash cards with me everywhere I went. I remember doing them at traffic lights, in line at the grocery store, everywhere.
Tips, go to every class, if you are struggling tape record the lectures, buy the extras like study guide, flash card set, coloring book is also a help. If there is a study group, go.
I also found that there is a huge difference in professors in this clas

I loved A&P I !! I got a 98 in the class..... I am now in A&P II and liking it just as well.... everyone else in the class thinks I'm weird.

Attendance is REALLY important (like everyone else has said)- Other than that just study study study.....

One thing that took me forever to learn  is to ask questions right away if you don't understand something. Don't wait until next week, and don't convince yourself that somehow you'll just understand it one day (listen to experience talking here, lol ;) ) If you get a good, solid understanding of the basics in A&P it will make nursing school easier.
I hope you enjoy nursing school! :) It's been a great experience for me :)

Good luck! Keep up, cuz it can get overwhelming....:D

Well...the leg bone's connected to the thigh bone. The thigh bone's connected to the hip bone. The bone's connected to....
just kidding. All the best in the class.:D

Thanks everyone for all the great suggestions and words of wisdom ;) . I may be calling on help throughout the semester.

Thanks again!!!
