My apartment complex has a contract with a company so I have no alternative besides their ridiculous cable prices if I actually get cable, so i just have internet with my roku express and blu-ray player. I have a digital antenna, but we have terrible reception in my area, so I mostly watch online. My parents have satellite and let me use their login for the streaming apps that require satellite or cable information, and I have netflix, hulu, and amazon prime. Really the only thing I have missed since moving in three years ago is the Big Bang Theory, since CBS is annoying and charges for their online streaming. My dad has had a few issues if he visits me during a football, basketball, or baseball game, but some of those stem from my family being listed for Fox sports midwest while I am in fox sports southwest.
