This is my first time posting on this thread. I need some help and I couldn't think of anywhere else to ask. My aunt has recently moved and she found 3 old photos albums. In one of the albums was a picture of my mother and step-dad that I have always wished I had. My step dad passed away about 15 years ago and my mother passed away about 3 years ago. This is the only picture I have of them together. It's a long sad story but when my mother died she had lost, sold or given away everything we had including pictures. In fact, I only have pictures of her from when she was young or after she got sick.
Anyway, It was the one picture I had always wished I had and I was so excited to see it! Unfortunately, it was in one of the old sticky type albums and it has turned a weird shade of reddish orange. I was thinking I would finally break down and by a photo program for my computer but I have no idea which one I should get or even if I can fix it. I'm hoping I can scan it into my computer and fix it somehow and then make copies for myself and my brothers. Does anyone know which program I should buy? I looked up Photoshop on Ebay and was shocked at how many versions came up.
I don't know if it matters but I have Windows XP
If any of you wonderful photographers have any advise for me I would be eternally grateful from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you so much!
