I should have used a TA?

After reading the threads about cruise cost I guess I should have booked through a TA instead DCL. Last week I booked a Cat 4 on a three night Wonder cruise for myself and 3 other adult members of my family. Total cost, I dod not book transfers and it cost me $3270.00! I did;n think this was bad for August 4th but now I'm starting to wonder.......... (no pun intended)

This is your date, but I can't get it to scroll down below the Cat 5. Maybe you'll have better luck. Even at a Cat 5, it's about $100 cheaper than DCL.

Not really....you have to add $50.00 per person to the Allseas price if passenger is over 13...which the poster said they were which would make the Cat 4 thru All Seas $3671. The Cat 4 thru All seas is actually more expensive than what the OP paid. The Cat 5 thru All Seas would be $3271 for 4 adults, same as what the OP is paying for a Cat 4.

To the OP..you can try other TA's....like Costco....All Seas is usually cheaper than DCL, but in this instance it is not.

Alot of the price depends on the time of year that you travel. You are going during the summer when school is out so it is going to be more expensive. Try looking at your same cruise on DCL in September and you will see that it is significantly less expensive.

Having said that, Yes, I have found that I can usually get a better deal using a TA than going through Disney directly. Transfer your ressie to a TA and see if they can help you out! Good luck.

Thanks for all of your help! I tend not to sail during peak times but one of my family members is a school teacher and is adament about being in school (I guess this a good thing) I will be paying a lot less for my October cruise I am planning as it is still iin hurricane season and the kiddies are all still in school!
