I sent/recieved my Ornament Exchange

I have finally sent out my ornament. It took so long because of 2 things. First I was trying to get something from someone but they never did get it in so I sent my exchange out. The other thing the one post office here in town closed down. Fast. It seems something was going on that shouldn't have. The only other post office works really slow, only has 2 counters and line ups are out the door. I took it in very early this morning and waited to get it out. I was determined that it would go today.

I'm sorry I'm so late to post, but with Thanksgiving and then we had a big holiday party this weekend that I am just now getting back to "normal". I LOVE all the goodies you sent me. There were I think 3 or 4 ornaments, plus some Pooh collectibles. Thank you so much for everything--you were more than generous!

I am so sorry, I promise I will get my ornaments out on Monday!! I wanted to include some "homemade" ornaments, but I am finding it hard to find the time to make them! I hate going down to the wire on sending........but I hope our exchangees find it worth the wait!!



(Someone that sent to one of us is also someone we have to send to!! So if you sent our way you know who you are so be on the lookout next week for your box!!!)

My package was sent out today. It is heading east and to a person that I was lucky enough to recieve an exchange from in the past!!! The postmaster said it should be there in 2-3 days!!

]Bubble wrap solution:

Go to any store that sells breakable items... ie Hallmark, knick knack store, even Target or toy stores may have it..

These stores are unloading tons of merchandise all the time with the Christmas season.. they have tons and tons of boxes around... offer to take some boxes off thier hands.. and inquire politely of course if they have any "free" packing material. They may have peanuts, or those air pillows...

If that doesn't work, dollar tree sells bubble wrap, same with staples, office max, etc.. check your workplace as well.. sometimes there is some laying around from a delivery.

Sorry I have been away and I am just starting to read all the posts.
I sent out 5 packages today!
They are going all over the place.
They were sent Priority so they should arrive before the mail out date.
Also, me and my DS were luck to have gotten our wonderful packages while we were gone.

Mine Arrived!

Thank you MerryPoppins! I absolutely love it! I especially love the Native American theme and got a little choked up when reading the pamphlet that came with it. Right now I have it on the stand by my computer as I haven't put the tree up yet and I'm going to keep it out all year to remind me of what it represents "strength, resiliency and conviction". And as senator Haney said "standing one's ground".

For all the rest of you, the ornament is put out by The Friends of the Mansion, the non-profit group that works to preserve and restore the Gubintorial mansion is Oklahoma. The ornament depicts the statue that stands on the top of the dome of the state capitol. It is a Native American holding a lance and shield and has a 24carat gold finish....beautiful!
