Doing advance research for 2013 trip and was getting all excited to see how the City Pass was a savings and at the zoo the bus tour and sky ride were included. Now the 2012 CP doesn't even include the zoo at all- just DL, SW, and Universal. Now, it is still a savings even if you do only DL and SW, but would have been better with the zoo.

Bummer!

Things change.

Who knows for 2013 it could get even better.

Interesting. I will ask when I get to work tomorrow and see if any one knows what is going on.

Edit - I just got home and asked my Manager about it. He said that we are not part of the City Pass program next year. We are not sure what will happen for 2013

Does the 2011 pass include bus tour/sky ride at the Zoo?

Yes, you get unlimited rides on the Bus Tour, Express Bus (more like a shuttle that you can hop on and off buses at 5 stops throughout the Zoo),and the Skyfari.

Hi all,
You are correct; the 2012 Southern California CityPASS program does not included the San Diego Zoo. We've had a lot of questions on this, especially because the 2012 price is a few dollars more than the 2011 price.

The cost/value of a 2012 Southern California CityPASS is based on the combined 2012 pricing for the included attractions (Disneyland, Universal and SeaWorld). Although the attractions’ 2012 prices haven’t been released to the public yet, they will collectively total $377 for adults and $345 for children, ages 3-9. So, the 2012 Southern California CityPASS represents a savings of 26 percent over regular box office pricing.

In regards to the zoo, we know many of our customers would also like to visit the Zoo. We are working with the Zoo on possible ways we may be able to accommodate CityPASS customers who want to purchase a 2012 Southern California CityPASS and also want to visit the Zoo. I'll keep this thread marked and come back with an update when we have one; you may also want to check our website from time to time over the next month or so to see if there are any updates there.

Ah, that's great news (the inclusion of the bus tours) for us as we'll only have about 5 hours in the Zoo before we need to rush off to catch our plane at LAX.

I visited the CityPASS website today and you can now add the zoo to your CityPASS as an upgrade. Hooray!
