Yesterday I made a reservation for 'Ohana for our trip in Feb. It was way more expensive than 4 years ago, so a few hours after booking it, I checked online and found out the price fluctuates depending on the season, and even the day of the week. I knew they had added "premium" pricing for holiday seasons but I didn't know they added it for weekends, too.

I called back and changed my reservation by one day, from Friday night to Thursday night, and saved $25 for our group of 4. Hope this helps someone else!

Thank you! We were going on Sat. night... but just changed to Thursday! So do you remember how much it was per person on Thursday night? We have a party of 8.... so any savings will be great!

Wow, I didn't know there was now a price difference depending on the day of the week! Is this all year long or just when peak pricing is in effect?

Thanks for the heads up, we will be making our ADRs soon and will be sure to book this on a weeknight.

With tax it worked out to $42 or so per person on Friday, and Thursday it is just over $35, so we saved around $6.25 per person. Might not seem like a lot for some, but hey, that will buy pizza for another meal, or pay for the gas for the rental car.

You are probably changing pricing season, and going from Value into Peak Season on February 14. Day of the week is irrelevant for menu pricing.

2013 Regular Season for menu pricing: January 1-February 13, 2013, February 24-March 7, 2013, April 7-May 30, 2013, August 4-December 12, 2013.

2013 Peak/Summer/Holiday Season for menu pricing: February 14 – 23, 2013, March 8 – April 6, 2013, May 31 – August 3, 2013, December 13 – 31, 2013

During Peak/Summer/Holiday Season, buffets and character meals, as well as All You Care To Eat items increase in price about $4 per person. So Chef Mickey will go from $38.99 to $42.99.

According to the pricing information on the website, the price can fluctuate on weekends as well. That was why I called back to see if switching it to Thursday made a difference. Also, per the pricing schedule you posted, Feb 14th is also peak season for pricing so it should have been the same price as the 15th. Since both days are in "peak" season, the only explanation for the difference in price is Thursday vs Friday.

I am going in the low season next week so my Friday night should be the same as the weekday price.
