I rode ToT. How does Splash Mountain compare?

I hate drops on rides but somehow managed to finally get on ToT. I've done Pirates and Frozen Ever After and those weren't bad at all. I want to try Splash Mountain next but I'm wondering how the dropping feelings compare to ToT? I'm nervous about the dark indoor drop and then of course, the big drop at the end.

I am not a fan of drops at all and have the most anxiety about Space Mtn because I cannot see the drop or where it is coming up. ToT is different feeling than roller coasters in my opinion. Took me years to go on that one and not quite as long to get on Splash Mountain. I would say try it out as you don't really get that stomach feeling. Splash Mountain has a wonderful ride through.

You would never catch me at Universal or Six Flags on anything of those roller coasters, for what its worth.

7DMT is quite tame compared to the drop on ToT. In general, 7DMT is a very, very mild coaster. No huge drops, no blazing speed. A few banked turns, but nothing significant.

The big drop on Splash is pretty "intense", but if you managed ToT, this will be a breeze. First of all, with Splash, you know precisely when the drop is coming. You can see it coming...and that anticipation is part of the fun. The drop is also at an angle, not straight down, so it's a different sensation. Wind in your face as you accelerate down. Then the splash at the end. The other drops before the big one are of increasing size, but none of them are what I'd call "huge". There is one that is a very mild drop but is in pitch darkness. That part makes me clench my teeth every time.

You really can't compare ToT to a rollercoaster or log flume ride. The drop feeling is different for everyone from ride to ride. I don't have any drop feelings for any theme park attractions. The only time I get that feeling is when I'm skydiving. But I don't feel the drop on Splash is as intense as ToT because it's a one and done moment. It's not a yo-yo effect like ToT. 7DMT is like a kiddy coaster. You will be fine, there's not really even any drops.

I love drops on roller coasters and love most all of the roller coasters. I despise Tower of Terror. I've always gotten the feeling the goal of the ride is just to make you sick.

If you can handle the drop on TOT, every other drop at WDW will be a walk in the park. LOL!

Splash Mountain is essentially a log flume. You have a few seconds of that intense dropping feeling, but then you feel the log floating and it's over.

I'm a baby when it comes to drops. I rode TOT once and I never will again, but I try to go on Splash every trip because it's such a fun ride over all.

What I do to handle it is keep my eyes closed when the log is about to drop at the end. If I don't see that the log is going down, it's not as scary. When you pass under the vultures who say, "This is my laughing place," you'll know that you are going up for the big drop. There are smaller drops in the ride, but they're minimal so don't get nervous when your log goes up a belt at any other point during the ride.

Seven Dwarves Mine Train is similar to Big Thunder Mountain. If you can do BTM, 7 Dwarves is even easier.

ToT I'd say is one of the most intense Disney Rides. I love it, but the drops aren't for everyone. And you can't compare ToT to Splash or 7dmt.

If you enjoy your stomach dropping, then you'll love ToT. If you don't, then you'll hate it.

Splash..the drop looks big, but you really don't feel it. If you've done Pirates then you can do Splash. I may be in the minority, but due to the pitch blackness of the Pirates drop, it gets my stomach way more than Splash does. And the Splash drop is over before you know it.

7dmt..very tame. It's a coaster that's geared toward young children. It's fun at night as it feels faster, but you can do it easily

If I had to rate on thrills:
ToT-7.5
Splash-5
7dmt-3

In 2004 I treated the whole family to a Disney vacation and on that trip my then 78 yr old mother handled Splash Mtn without a problem, enjoyed it even but she blew chunks after doing ToT.

It took 5 trips to WDW to finally do Splash Mountain and the only thing you will ask yourself afterwards is why you didn't do it sooner. It is such a great ride! I get motion sickness easily and feel pretty wimpy when it comes to rides, it was a blast! I dislike the drop in the dark less than the famous "big" drop, but as others have said, you clench your teeth for 3 seconds and it's over. Plus, the ride is sooo long (in a good way) that the drops are just not that important. You won't regret doing it! :)

IMO, Splash is nothing compared to ToT, so if you can handle ToT, you can handle anything at WDW. I get motion sickness a lot and I don't have a problem with ToT or Splash at all.

7DMT doesn't even compare, it's a kiddy ride. Exp. Everest on the other hand - last time, I rode it 2x and did feel a bit queasy on the 2nd ride, so I will skip that one from now on.

I hate the drops on TOT ! I have rode it 3 times only because our group wanted to. I haven't rode it in several years now. It just gives you the feeling of falling and I hate that. Splash is one of my favorites and it only has one big drop which only last about 5 seconds.I really dont feel like I'm falling on it . It is not as bad as TOT. The SDMT is tame in my opinion, the drops are fun and not bad at all. I like SDMT because the ride seems so much smoother then the other coaster rides at Disney.
The most intense rides at Disney are TOT and Everest at AK.

Wet.

Seriously, if you can do TOT, you can do anything. I don't like the TOT drops at all, but I'm willing to get on it if someone else wants to ride it. 7DMT is very mild and the drops are smooth and short. It is not scary at all. It is very tame. Splash- most of it is a cute ride with a couple of drops thrown in. The last one is a big drop- but if you can handle TOT, you should be able to handle it. I think TOT is much worse.
