I recieved a Keurig, will I ever love it?

I have the cheapest one, and it works great for me. I may have a second cup on Sundays, but otherwise it's strictly used for one cup a day. I think if you consume enough coffee in the household, then making a pot of regular coffee is more economical. I haven't yet used the holder for using your own ground coffee, but I have it and will try it. I also use just tap water, but I have to add water every time I use it, so it doesn't sit around at all.

I'm the only coffee drinker and usually only drink one large strong cup of coffee a day.

So I just tried it out, since I like it strong and I use big coffee mugs I used two k-cups of "donut shop" and brewed it on the small mug size twice, if that makes sense. It's strong and hot enough now I just need to do the math on how expensive this will be per day vs the old way I did it.

Thanks for the advice and tips.

....I've already brewed blueberry coffee and chilled it to make iced blueberry coffee - it's EXCELLENT!

Cuisinart makes one. Better too.

Iced is my dd10's favorite way to do the mocha as well. We have the iced coffee setting, so she fills up a big glass of ice, then brews on the iced setting for the mocha.

This is what my DH used to do (they have one at work). They are the ones who pay for the k-cups and it started getting pretty expensive. He just brews at home and brings it in now. He does waste some every day, but it's still cheaper than the Kuerig.

If you don't like it after awhile, you can always send it to me! ;-)

My mom has been dying for one!

I grind my own Dunkin Donuts coffee and use it in the metal filter. It takes a little longer than the k-cups but I've actually seen my coffee expenses drop. A pound of beans now lasts much longer than before, though I still drink the same number of cups.

Love it - but I typically drink 1 cup on weekends

Timothys Cinnamon Pastry is Yummy

Green Mountain Hazlenut

Green Mountain Columbian Fair trade for non flavored

i was researching to get one as a xmas gift...

but these machines make cup by cup .. so if you have company ... it would take a while to make for everyone >>

yes, but since each cup literally takes a minute or so, its actually nice for company, cause they can all drink different kinds if they want.

:tinker: Hi, My son got me one this past Christmas and we just love it. I'm not a coffee drinker (will give it a try) and wanted it for the hot chocolate and teas (both hot and cold). It is great! Enjoy!

I'm not crazy about my Keurig, either. I only drink one mug of coffee each day, and DH doesn't drink coffee, so ours doesn't get a whole lot of use. Mine stopped pumping after only 50 mugs of coffee. Keruig was great about replacing it fast, but I keep expecting the second one to break, too. If you read the reviews on them, they've had many problems with the pumps going out on them. When I called about mine not working, they wanted to know if I used the filter, if I used bottled water, did I make hot chocolate through it... I answered no to all the above but it made me think those things might add to the pumps failing. Now I am using bottled water, which is aggravating. I would never recommend a Keurig. I mainly drink Donut Shop k cups but I really don't like any of the coffees I have tried. :sad2:

I fell in love at first brew with my Keurig. I use tap water and I go through lots of k cups but coffee is one of my daily pleasures so I don't mind the expense.

I've had my Keurig for about a year and like it a lot. I'm the only coffee drinker in the house, about 1-3 cups a day. It probably is a little expensive, but the conveninece is worth it to me. I enjoy the option of drinking one cup of coffee, and a couple of hours later deciding I'd like another and it's completely fresh. :)

We love it to death! DH is the coffee drinker and since I don't like coffee, he usually ended up either wasting half a pot or just buying at the convenience store, so in that regard, it's saved us money.

I use it to heat water for tea. I don't use the Kcups for tea, but just make hot water and throw a tea bag in it. DS uses it to make hot water for ramen noodles. It's so fast.

I got my husband one for Christmas--he seems to like it--I don't drink coffee but do enjoy the Green Mountain Cocoa. We have actually started running the cups through and then again later for a second cup and my husband hasn't complained that they are week. The cocoa will only run once however.

Got one for Christmas and love it! My dd's use it for hot chocolate and I am not drinking way too much coffee for my own good! I expect that now that the holidays are over...i'll go back to my usual one or two cups a day.

I love the fact that I have so many choices in flavors. I've got one of those little spinners...so just spin it around and pick something fun! It makes it so fast!
