I am looking for a new job. About a week ago, I went to take an assessment for a company. I thought that I did a pretty good job on it. The only area I really thought I struggled with was the section on Microsoft Office. I've used it for years, but most of what I know is stuff that I've picked up on my own, so I don't know how to do everything in it.
Anyway, after I finished, I went back to the HR office and the girl in charge of our test told me that I had passed it and scheduled an interview for me for this coming Monday (the 16th). Everything was fine until I got a letter in the mail yesterday informing me that I really did not pass the assessment and thanking me for my time.
My question is, do I call the company to see if I still need to come in to the interview on Monday, or should I see the letter as a cancellation on their part of said interview? I'm leaning towards not calling, but that's just b/c I'm embarrassed and angry at myself for not passing it. I figured I needed some perspective, which you DISers are so good at giving.
Any thoughts?
