I REALLY miss BABE!!!!!! (SUPER LONG>>>sorry!)

Shoot....I just realized too. DD#1 just started middle school this year and they started school last week (just Tues/Wed/Thurs).....I have been off so far this week until tomorrow. She gets home about 3pm and DD#2 gets home about 3:45pm.
I usually don't get home until almost 4pm and I even gave DD a key this year...Tomorrow will be the first day she will be here by herself totally....hopefully she will be alright....I guess I need to talk to her.....Just thinking outloud.....

Lisa I'm so sorry. It sounds so much like my Ranger. The vet told me tumors can develop with no real outward signs until it's too late. Babe was lucky to have such a good, loving home.

When I reread your post the other day I thought the same thing....very similar....hope you are doing ok....Thats what my vet said....you couldn't detect it since there was no symptoms until it was too late....

thanks
Lisa

She's lovely. I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how much it hurts to lose a dog. They are part of your family and they touch your heart in the most amazing ways.

So very sorry to hear about your fur-baby. I lost my cat of 15 years to many cancerous tumors. It was so painful to see her suffer so we decided to take the vets advice & assist her in getting to kitty heaven. I still miss her & it's been 9 years since we lost her.

One thing I have decided is that for now, I'm not interested in having another pet. It is just too hard when their life cycle has ended. Of course, nothing was as painful as losing my Mom...but that's another thread!

Again, so very sorry Lisa. Think how lucky she was to have you & your family as her humans. Sounds like she was deeply loved & treated like a true member of the family!

Such a nice dog, Lisa, Babe was. And such nice thoughts and memories, you and family will have forever, Babe will live on forever. Our pets are such wonderful gifts from God. You had a lot to say, a lot to share, certainly not a ramble, no need to be sorry to anybody for super long, which it certainly is not, just good memories, a lot of them. And thanks for sharing, Lisa.'s

Thanks again everyone!! It has been a long week. I know it will do me good to go to work tomorrow. I just thought that I will probably start from square one again when I pick up her ashes:( :( :( :(

Lisa, that's what happened when we got Scamper's ashes - he was our faithful companion for 16 years. It was hard but after a while it helped us to have them. We put them in a pretty earthenware jar with a tight fitting lid and hung his collar and tags around the neck. We put the jar in a cabinet near the fireplace. For a long time after I'd find "him" sitting in a sunbeam by the front door or in the hall where one of my grown up kids had placed the jar as a reminder of where our sweet old pal liked to rest. When the "kids" visit they still occasionally go find "him" so they can jingle his tags.

Again, I'm sorry its so hard. I hope it will get easier soon. ::yes::
