we've got our official blizzard warning. And that's after we just shovelled 7 more inches this morning. I'd rather look at the pretend snow at Blizzard Beach.

We're in Montgomery County MD right outside of DC and we're under the blizzard warning also.....plus our county just pulled all their snowplow crews off the road due to deteriorating conditions out there....it's just not safe to be outside right now due to visibility issues....so we'll stay inside and get some things done.
It was me who advocated the use of snow candles in the hope of a two hour delay. Why, just two really long snow-covered weeks ago I hated even the mere suggestion of getting DD up early and having that every-morning wardrobe/hair/meds/food fight then driving at breakneck speed to the elem school while grousing "We really needed to leave the house when we were fighting about your clothes/pill/breakfast/hair. I can't fly, you know. OMG, you're not gonna make it. Quick, stop in your classroom before locker & maybe you won't need to sign in again..."
Now I'm sort of looking forward to it. We've seen the plow drivers so rarely this week that I'm just about ready to declare them gods. Who'd have thought it'd ever come to this?
yeah, can't see much here, either..total white out! THe kids are trying to keep up with the driveway, since DH is in Orlando for a meeting! But, at least we have electricity.
