Voice changes.

Girls voices change, right?

mine used to be high pitched
now it sounds like a guy's.
so i'm pretty sure.

when did that happen?

mine has always been really high pitched and soft

i no longer sound like the chipmunk on helium that is in my family's home videos from age 2-10
so yes. girls voices change.

well, of course they change.

none of us still sound like we did when we were 5... right???

and when your 33 you dont sound the same as when you are 12...am i right???

girls voices do change...

like, im in choir, and i have a small range.

i cant go high at ALL.
out of all the girls in my class, i have the deepest singing voice.

our teacher yesterday told us to sit down if it was getting too high for us, i was the first out of the boysANDgirls to sit down.

and it wasnt even that high..

i want my range to like..expand.

Yeah.
In first grade I was sent to voice class because my voice was really high.
Now it's just..normal.
Changed around ..idk..it gradually changed.

i think my voice might be changing right now.

its deeper than it was last year. O.o

I have a 1st Soprano voice which I think is what they call Mezzo Soprano which is the highest. I cannot sing the Alto stuff it is too low.

I HOPE so, lol.
I still sound like a 6 year old. :upsidedow

Well lets see....I was in chior for a VERY long time.

I started out as a 1st Soprano.
Then about 2 years later I moved to 2nd Soprano.
And a few years after that I sang 2nd Soprano/Alto/even some EXTREMELY high Tenor(depending on the song we were singing).

So I can officially say that I have been able to sing all the girl voice parts and even one male voice part. So yes, girls voices do change. It's just more gradual and less noticeable than it is with the guys (poor things).

Yeah.
My voice changed.
It got a little deeper in grade 7.

i have always had a very low voice for a girl.
people tell me my voice doesn't sound like it should come from me because i am quite small and have the voice of a 40 year old man.
but after i got my tonsils out it got even lower.
everytime anyone calls my house the go, "hi, keith?"
[that's my dad's name.]
it's kinda strange.

I have a pretty darn high voice...its gotten like lower but i still sing 1st soprano...

If you want a greater range, sing warm-up techniques everyday maybe twice at least. Do several warm ups and try to sing higher and higher each time. BUT it's a very fine line between expanding your range and straining your vocal chords. You don't want to stretch your vocals so much that you hurt them.

Also, while female voices do change slightly, they do not change that much at all so don't count on your voice to change. If you have a low voice now you're likely to keep your low voice...it just might change the way it sounds if that makes any sense.
