I know my DS17 wanted to sell his 2 and a half month old mini IPod as soon as he clapped eyes on the Nano. I dare not look at it myself because I would probably want to do the same.
Same here - I had a first generation IPod mini (the ones with only 8 hours battery life) and was looking at upgrading to the later version before my holiday (and the endless flight!), but now the Nano is out, I've bought one of those and sold my Mini to a work colleague.

I don't think the kids are that interested in 20 GB or above jukeboxes. This will partly be because a lot of them just don't have the cd collections to fit it. I have a 30 GB Creative Zen which I am still filling up after nearly two years. I like it because it stores the majority of my cd collection but I like my IPod mini because I only store favourite songs on it. The Zen I use now with my home cinema kit to have a jukebox in the lounge, the IPod is my portable player.
Even though I've got a couple of hundred CDs, I also only keep my favourites on my IPod - at the moment I'm not even 50% full on 4GB one, so a 20GB is a bit of a waste for me!
I have just been reading 'The Times'. Ooh, doesn't that sound posh. Anyway I was reading it whilst I was stuck in the garage getting the car looked at and it was free.
Right back on track. There was an article in it about how easy it is to damage the screen on the new Nano. One person's had broken whilst in a pocket with just the ear phones and the other just broke. Both people were saying they were not getting much satisfaction from Apple and apparently there had been other complaints re the screen. Apple are saying there is not a fault.
Personally I always protect my equipment with a case so it may be worth investing in one to give your Nano extra protection just to be on the safe side.
I bought one from an electronic shop in Belz this year seeing as I didn't get to the Apple Store at the Millennia and it is a really good one for £10.

What is the difference between the nano and the mini, i know the mini can more songs, is that the difference or is there something else, which makes it more appealing.
You can get a nano for £139 2gb and mini £139 for 4gb.
Basically the Nano is smaller, has a colour screen and uses flash storage (like in memory cards for cameras) which is faster at accessing. The Mini is bigger, has a black and white screen and uses a hard drive to store the information on.
The difference in price per GBs is that the Nano uses a more expensive type of storage than the mini.
Though the Nano does look good, it does appear to be having problems with its screen though I suppose this could be remedied by keeping it in a good storage case.
A 2 GB storage will hold about 500 songs, a 4 GB 1000 songs.
