So I finally get my tax refund. Now to get my Touch. Yea! It will be used primarily by me and in the car for music for my 8 yr old son. So what are my "most important" accessories to have? Where do I buy for the best warranty? Thanks everyone for your help.

Download App Sniper for a few dollars, and it will help you find free and on sale apps. I've found all kinds of things I would never have downloaded if not for App Sniper. A lot of them are silly, but they were free.

You'll need a connector of some sort to play the Itouch in the car over your car speakers. Depending on what kind of car you have, you might be able to get the thin little cable that plugs into your radio and into the speaker hole-thingy on your Itouch. Or you might have to get one of those plug into the cigarette lighter things that you set for a radio frequency. (don;t you really admire my use of technical terms?)

A Belkin Adapter

My husband bought for my car. The iPod slides into a dock and plays the music through an FM station. If I go to channel 95.7, I can hear the music, but if I go to another town/state where that particular station is in use, the adapter will scan for a "blank" station you can listen to your music through. Also, I highly recommend the Invisible Shield skin. We've used them for iPods and found a store that will adhere it on as well. Enjoy your new toy!

I HATED that. :sad2: I don't know if it's my area or what. But there was so much extra noise with the adapters that play through the FM station. (we tried 3 different brands/styles) and the batteries died quickly too. I was so mad about the money wasted on them. :headache:

We ended up buying a radio at Walmart that has an actual slot for the ipods/iphones. It was about $100 and the best money we ever spent!

To the OP. I totally recommend a secure, protective case. Especially if you are using it in the car. We've dropped ours a few times while trying to change songs. Especially since the kids are changing songs since I'm driving.

Which ipod touch do u recommend? my son wants one - is only turning 10 - loves playing all the games on it - i don't have 1 he plays his friends - does it matter if i buy a 2nd edition one refurbished? do u get all the same games on them - what about the g? do i need 64g or can i get the 32g?
