OK, so I'm taking driving lessons. I'm a late bloomer at the age of 33 :lmao: . I had to sit my theory and hazard perception tests yesterday and I passed first time - yippee!!!!! :cheer2:  :Pinkbounc :woohoo: . I'd prepared long and hard but I was still very relieved to be through this part of it.

Now to keep working on the real deal - the driving! It's taking me much longer to pick it all up than I thought. It's harder than I imagined but I'll get there in the end. Everyone else does so why not me? I go through phases of good lessons then last week I had a disastrous one. It was bloomin awful. I'm back out tomorrow night and I'm determined to be better. I think passing the theory will boost my confidence a little as it's a step in the right direction.

:cheer2: congratulations :cheer2:

:cheer2: Well done to you. I too was a late starter and passed at 25, and only then because I was preganant with my 3rd child and didn't want to take the bus anymore :teeth: Don't panic about bad lessons, my worst one ever was right before my test that I passed. A bad rehersal = a good show!

Lots of luck for your test,

:cool1: Congratulations.

I passed when I was 40 :thumbsup2

Absolutely dreaded my lessons and the first 6 months of driving until we flew to Florida. My kind of driving and I've never looked back since :teeth:

Go for it :woohoo:

Well done! :thumbsup2 I was a late-ish bloomer at 26 and only did it then as I was sick of taking public transport to work. Best thing I ever did... :cool1:

i started lessons at 17...my mum cant drive so i was desperate to learn :)
cant imagine life without a car now

Congratulations :cool1:

I passed my driving test in April this year at the ripe old age of 43 so if I can do it anyone can. I hated my driving lessons but luckily I had a fantastic instructor who really kept me going and now I can drive I actually really love it.

Have you been on this site? http://www.2pass.co.uk/ it's really helpful.

Good luck with the driving.

Well Done !!! :cheer2:

From a fellow late bloomer, I did not learn until I was 31.

I love that site! It's a great help and the people are so nice. I've been visiting it since summer.

Thanks for all the good wishes everybody. Looks like a lot of late bloomers on the DIS! Just like fine wine, we get better with age. :cool1:
