I paid for Sea World E-tickets but didn't get them

This morning I went on the Sea World website to buy tickets (adults at kids' prices). Made 2 attempts, both times I got an error message saying that my card transaction was declined. I call the card centre to give them a piece of my mind - no balance on the card, so the ticket purchase should not have been a problem. The card company tells me that there was indeed a payment to A-B this morning for the value of the tickets. The only problem is that I have no e-tickets, no e-mail confirmation etc from Sea World.

Next headache - I tried to call Sea World's 1-800 number more than once! Note that when I call from Barbados, the calls are NOT toll free! After going thru the stupid automated response menu, and waiting forever for a real live person, I had to hang up. At this rate, I will spend a ton of money on overseas calls, pay for tickets I don't have and still won't be able to go to Sea World. I've also e-mailed through their website. I may have to wait another 3 days before I get a reply!

Can you tell that I'm not happy? If there's anyone with a more direct e-mail route or a telephone number to SW's Customer Service, please let me know. I am anxious to have this resolved before I leave on July 8, without spending a small fortune on overseas calls!

Thanks for your help.

I logged into the passholders site and went to the contact page and this is all I could find:

most of the time you can print them immediately. they use to give you a reservation number if you couldn't print then.

in your case I would call the Credit company and just cancel the transaction.

then try again on the website with another credit card.

remember somethings are only for Florida resident. If you were trying for one of them - then that might be a problem.

Good news - I got a call from Anheuser-Busch's refund centre bright and early yesterday morning. Apparently, there's no evidence of the transaction going through at their end, not even an authorization code. They will be faxing my bank directly so that the charge can be reversed. Haven't had an opportunity to follow up today so I will check tomorrow with my bank to see what's been done.

Just wanted to say "hi" - I noticed you are in Barbados too!

Hi U2! I hardly ever find another poster from Barbados! As my kids would say, "Tight!!"

True, there aren't many of us around! Are you a local like me, or an ex-pat/transplant? The only other Caribbean folks I've "met" on this board have been ex-pats.

I just took a quick look at your trip report & photos - one unrelated-to-Disney question, are you a QC girl? Your face looks familiar!

I am definitely a local, a cou-cou loving Bajan to the bone! Actually, I was born in the UK to Bajan parents, left the UK as a baby, lived in Canada for a while, then came to Barbados at age 5. Lived here ever since, except for the 2 years in grad school overseas. I certainly don't see myself as British - I'm quite proud of my Barbados passport!

DH (Bajan) and a co-worker like to tease me and tell me that I'm not a "real" Bajan, that I am really British. My response to that, "a cat born in an oven ain't bread!"

By the way, I hope everything works out with your Seaworld tickets - I bought ours online too, but we had no issues. I totally understand where you're coming from with respect to overseas phone calls and 800 numbers not being toll free! I ended up paying a service to make all my WDW dining reservations for me, because it would have only worked out to slightly more than the actual cost of making the phone calls myself, and I didn't have any of the hassles!!

I called the card centre this evening - no chargeback showing up yet, but I have to call during regular business hours to find out if they received any correspondence from A-B. The after hours staff couldn't give me that info.

I want to order my Disney tickets online too - but I'm now a little nervous! 6 day tickets for 5 people adds up to quite a bit of change!!!

This will be our first family trip to Orlando. DH and I will be there with our 3 girls.

The girls and I have been at different times, DD#1, 15 has been at least 6 times with bio-dad. No.2, my DSD, also 15 has been once before during a whirlwind tour with my MIL. Youngest DD had her first Disney taste 2years ago, a one-day crash course en route home from a family wedding in Florida. I've been twice, once with DD#1 and once with youngest! DH has never been before!

DD#1, the sleuth, figured it out weeks ago, but the other 2 girls have absolutely no idea that we're headed to Orlando! I have no fear of DD spilling the beans, a secret is safer with her than it would be in Fort Knox!
I have to remember to charge the batteries for the camera - I need to capture their expressions when we tell them!

I noticed from your trip report that you have a water lover in your family. Youngest DD is a water baby too - competitive swimming most days of the week, and a weekend mermaid! I imagine I'll have a lot of trouble trying to get her out of the water parks!

Ticketmania is great for Disney tickets - I ordered mine from there. They even send photocopies for you to keep in case you lose any of your tickets over the course of the trip, you can more easily get them replaced by Disney! I haven't heard of anyone who didn't get any issues resolved with them.

How wonderful that the younger ones are going to be surprised! I can't keep a secret, and since DH didn't really want to talk about the trip until like the day before, I needed someone to count down the days with! He had a great time while there, but he's really not into trip planning.

DS really isn't into formal swimming, though he does swim once a week through school - he just loves to be near/in the sea, and is nuts about anything to do with fishing!

I wish you luck with your credit card - I hope tomorrow brings good news!

It took a 20 minute overseas call to the A/B Call Centre but I FINALLY got the issue resolved! The transaction has been dropped, reversed or whatever!

The lady at the call centre was extremely helpful!

Off to get the packing done - we leave on Sunday, and I have a very full schedule between now and then!
