well my dd was 18 on the 11 of Feb and my middle son turned 21 yesterday (7 months clean and doing GREAT!!!)and my next will be 30,
does this mean i can retire yet??? how weird to have all you kids adults, dd still has last sem of high school graduates in June , then off to school local we think (i hope) i never thought i would be an empty nester , but i am starting to feel lonely , Thank God for grandkids, i work full time , but feel like my real job is now over..
it makes me wonder how my mother in law feels when my dh doesnt call every week , from now on i am going to make sure he does .. gosh how the wheels keep turning , and life repeats itself for every generation.. ok i am rambling ... sorry to much medical leave time ... :confused3

I'm almost there! I have a 25 year old son, a daughter who will turn 22 in a few months, and a 15 year old daughter who will graduate high school in 2008.

I know what you mean, though. I'm not sure what I'll do when the youngest goes away to college. I keep telling her that I'm going with her!

As fas the empty-nest, I'm not sure when that will happen. Most of the time, it's just me, my husband and daughter. When summertime rolls around, they all find their way back home. Not only do we have our own adult children here in the summer, but the numbers grow with boyfriends, girlfriends, teen friends, etc. For a few months every summer, our house seems to turn into a flop house for everyone and their buddies. I complain about it, but truthfully, I kind of enjoy it! There's always something going on!

However, I do know in a few short years things will change. That's when husband and I will head south and not leave a forwarding address!! :teeth: Just kidding, of course!

:grouphug: to you!

2 down 1 to go! pixiedust: :cheer2: :woohoo: :cool1: :Pinkbounc :moped: Love my kids. but sure will be glad when it is just the 2 of us at home..

 better yet, maybe once the kids all have their own places, they can rotate dear old dad among them :scratchin

You can officially pack your bags, and leave for months and never be charged with abandonment! :thumbsup2

Seriously, congrats on raising your kids to adult hood! :cloud9:
