I never thought the day would come

Well I am working another Saturday. But I can't really complain because it is ALL overtime!! But the strangest thing is hapening. I made my lunch this mornign. A nice healthy salad with 4 slices of peperoni cut into thin strips and some low fat cheddar chees and croutosn. With FF ranch it is 5 points. I brought a 2 serving size bag of baked lays for a snack as well as about 8 mini dill pickles and some cut up carrots. I am not quite ready for lunch so I though Hey I will open this bag of chips that is staring me in the face !!! Great I have a point friedly snack!! The next thing I know I am eating the carrots and pickles and do not even want the chips!!! i never thought I would pick carrots over chips!!! It was not even something I thought about when I started eating the carrots!! I thought about it after I had had a few. I went to open the chips but instead went to the fridge and got the carrots and am ENJOYING THEM!!!! What is wrong with me!!!!
 
WOW, that is something. Nothing is wrong with you, your taste must be changing and you are not even noticing it. What a great thing to happen, eating veg's instead of a bag of chips even if they were the baked. Congrat's on a great accomplishment.:D

Chips and junk food- PHOOEY!!:p You always knew you didn't need 'em, now you don't even WANT 'em!

Its so hard to resist the "snack with points"! You did great. I am trying to do that more as well. I especially want to work on adding a 0 point snack to my afternoon. I always struggle in the afternoon at work. Very strange, because I usually do fine until lunch!

You are doing great! Keep up the great work and enjoying your veggies!

CONGRATULATIONS! I am so happy for you! Reaching for carrots over baked chips - your body is making the adjustment to the healthy foods you are feeding it and it's saying, "more of this, please!" I am addicted to baby carrots, I eat them every day for lunch. They are so crisp and sweet and delicious! :) Have you tried grape tomatoes? They are awesome too!

Nothing is wrong with you, you have accomplished one of your goals, that's all. The entire point of following your eating plan is to make lifetime changes in your eating habits and choices. Sounds like you've accomplished at least one of those changes.

I'd rather have carrots than baked chips any day, though, to be honest, I cannot <i>abide</i> those baked chips.

Carrots are nice and sweet, aren't they? Be proud of yourself, you have accomplished a goal. I'm proud <i>of</i> you.
