I can not decide need to add a couple of nights using points. OKW and SSR are available what would you choose and why? Thank you!!:thanks:

You don't mention any criteria, so it's difficult to give you anything other than pros and cons. ;) But, here goes. . .
OKW
Pros: better theming, larger rooms, more laid-back, tropical vibe
Cons: have to use transportation pretty much everywhere, tropical vibe not for everyone
SSR
Pros: proximity to Disney Springs and golf course
Cons: minimal theming, tired furnishings

Neither is my favorite to be fair, but each has its own charm. If we were hitting the parks more, I'd likely say OKW, especially since we found the overall ambiance better. However, if you wish to get to DS a few times, having DS at a walking distance is hard to be. Even if you're buried in SSR, walking to DS isn't that tough. If you happen to get Congress Park, it's a snap. Good luck!

What will you do in the evenings?
Do you golf during the day?
If you can make your dinner ressies at DTD, then I would certainly choose SSR.
We enjoy our stays at SSR but when we stay there, my evening focus are our dinners.
We do not do the parks in the evenings (well, I just did an MK AH event that was fabulous but otherwise our evenings are nice dinners).

As others have stated, it all depends on what your primary goal is for the trip...Although both are nice, and SSR is very close to DS, you can take a nice boatride from either....To the parks both are pretty convenient as well. OKW just a wee be quicker by a min. or 2.
SSR is our home resort, and quite honestly it took up until this past trip in Nov. (Paddock Section) to really appreciate it a lil more...My kids like it better than OKW, I'd say 50/50 TBH both have Pro's & Con's

If SSR rooms were refurbed, (refurb looks superb, credit to DVC where due) I’d say SSR, and I am a great fan of OKW. However if you get a refurbed room at OKW (about 75% now done) I’d be tempted to stay there this year and try SSR when it’s refurb is done.

We love both! IMHO, SSR has the edge over OKW as a resort due to a nicer quick food service area, and then, of course, you have all the food options at Disney Springs.
HOWEVER, I will usually book OKW over SSR due to the larger rooms and and cheaper points!!
Did I say cheaper points?! :cool1:
In our household a longer trip always trumps food and proximity to other perks. See my signature--OKW this May--12 days!! :jumping1:

We like SSR for the proximity to Disney Springs. So many more options for food now at multiple price ranges and our picky eaters can find something that they will like. The rooms are similar to most hotel rooms so they are nothing special but I will admit both are huge and require bus rides just to get around the property. Neither are close to any of the parks but both are much nicer than staying at the value or moderate resorts.

Check out the pictures of each resort and see which feels better to you; they are very different. If your group is large, then OKW has a better sized living room. If you want DS, then SSR is closer, but you can take the boat from OKW, both actually, which we really enjoy.

Differences that I've noticed:

OKW: Better balance of living space vs. bedrooms, full-sized appliances incl. an icemaker in the freezer, huge patios/balconies, lush landscaping, and an ambiance that whispers "island time" everywhere you look.

SSR: More sophisticated, better pools, much better counter service options.

Of the two, I prefer OKW.
