I need your creative ideas for kids games and activities!

I've been "volunteered" to be in charge of kids games and activities at an upcoming family reunion. I'm really having a hard time coming up with anything! I'd appreciate any suggestions you all could give me.

Sounds like fun! What are the ages of the kids in your family?

I'm supposed to plan for kids ages 5-12. Most of them will be in the 7-10 age range.

Ahhh...the active crowd!! There are millions of games websites! Start with family fun...search under family reunions once you get to their site. I know I have seen games specific for that. Search Yahoo or google for "children's games". Also search girl scout and boy scout websites for many creative game ideas. Another thought is to make a "family trivia" game...bet the grown ups join in on this one!

DS invented a game years ago that kids love. We call it "Jake's Candy-Go-Round". Fill a basket/container/whatever with wrapped snack size candies. Kids sit in circle, play music, pass the basket. Periodically stop the music. If you are caught with the basket when the music stops, you're out. BUT...you get to take a piece of candy out of the basket! I can't tell you how many times the younger kids take their piece of candy and run to Mom telling her "Look, Mom, I won!" Last one in gets the rest of the candy!
