I received a catalogue in the mail with some nice home furishings. I really liked some tiffany style globes for ceiling fans.
Included was a $10 off coupon with an on-line $50+ order. yay (I thought)
Now, I am so glad I used my credit card in case there are any disputes. I would not trust their faulty order system for anything.
First strike:
I perused their site. Through TRYING to place orders I found out I could not combine orders from the Home Decorators and their outlet side. (Set up as two companies, although it is the same.)
I called and confirmed that, and checked on the availability of an item on the outlet side.
So I have to pay double shipping, even though the items will come from the same location. (confirmed by this company)
Had the outlet item not been such a good price I would not have ordered.
Next big mistake, I ordered on-line (the two *separate* orders).
On the outlet side I had a difficult time getting their system to accept my information. I finally just cut and pasted since I had to reenter the same information. (Entered my addy three times, and then cut and paste).
And their order system kept stopping me, stating my e-mail address was "illegal". There was nothing wrong with my e-mail address. I finally entered it in all CAPS. Then my same e-mail address was okay. gggrrrrrrrr
After placing my order, and all the hassle that came with it, I get a final screen stating the item is no longer in stock and my order amount is ZERO!
I called AGAIN. (They are in Missouri/Misery.) I was told their system is wrong and I will get an e-mail stating the correct order information.
They were right, I did.
Next trouble:
Ordering on-line through their regular catalog side. I entered the key code for the $10 off, and it removed $10.
I placed my order and the $10 was not deducted from the total.
I called this company AGAIN.
Yes, they know the system is faulty. I have to call back AGAIN in two hours to have the $10 removed from my order.
At this point I may just call back and see if I can cancel the flippin' order.
What a pathetic ordering system. I am writing the president and removing myself from any of their mailing lists.
