I need to vent about Hilton Hhonors - Update

We're going to Disneyland next week and I ordered 2 Disneyland tickets with my points in April. DH ordered 1 ticket a few days after I did. He said he was told the ticket would be waiting at DL. I called Hilton because I was never told this and assumed it would be mailed. I was told mine would also be waiting. OK

About 2 weeks ago DH told me his points had been deducted from his account. I checked mine and mine were not. I called again. This time I was told that they needed a supervisor to access the account and they were all in a meeting - they would call me back. Later that day DH got a Fedex from Hilton with his ticket!

I called again and got a very nice rep who said she was e-mailing the person in charge and would let me know. The next day she e-mailed me that my ticket would be Fedexed to me. Another day later I got a call from someone else at Hilton who said they were out of DL tickets and my tickets would be waiting at Guest Relations. Now I'm nervous so I e-mailed the nice rep and told her I wanted something in writing to this effect. Well she just got back to me and said my tickets were mailed today and I should get them in 7 days. WE ARE LEAVING IN 8 DAYS. This is cutting it a little close for my taste which is why I requested them in APRIL!!!! Am I being overly sensitive?

UPDATE I FINALLY received them today and we are leaving Wednesday. I can't wait to e-mail them about how unhappy I am with this when I get back.
 
No, you are not being overly sensitive it all. It is very annoying to not be told what is going on, and to have to go through all of that trouble. I always expect these programs to be a little better organized. But, I am sure that your ticket will arrive in time and everything will work out for you. Have fun at DL!
 
I would be upset too. You ordered them well in advance, it shouldn't take this long. I think they will get to you in time though so try to go and have a good time and forget how badly they run things at HH apparently! :)
 
I would be livid! And if they were not in my hot little hands in 6 days I would call and request that they next day air me the ticket.

And when you return from your trip at your convience you can return the one that did not arrive in time.


I agree cutting things much too close.

I agree with everyone else. As Mal suggested, I would talk directly with a supervisor and explain the situation and ask her (made demand) that they overnight the tickets to you and when you return you can return the regular mail tickets. I hope everything works out. I know how these things can impact a vacation. We had something similar happen to us. We had to report our Discover card as lost/stolen. To make a long story short, we had to wait for an overnight package that should have been here Saturday, but didn't arrive until Tuesday because a rep screwed up. We were leaving for vacation on Tuesday and were told it might not arrive until 5 PM. Luckily it showed up at 9:30 AM and we were able to go.
