I need to make ADR tomorrow and am so confused.

Hmmm......The Disney Quest/Waterpark is part of the package. I don't even know how much that part cost now that I think of it. From talking to travel agent, since we already paid, it is free to us now. Is that not the case?

I did think about doing the Princess thing with the girl only. Will the boys not like Akershus at all? They are pretty tolerant of her girliness. She being the youngest and all and has had medical problems so that has made them become even more protective of her.

The boys are good about sitting down/still. I'm not worried about how they would act in a restaurant, just that we will be there for such a short time they wouldn't want to spend it all sitting down eating. The only two who are picky eaters are the 8 and 9yr old boys. However, they like meat, potatoes and breads and, of course, desserts. Hubby would really like a steak dinner. I guess I don't know much about Jiko's, just that their food is good.

Oldest sons are absolutely wonderful to take to new restaurants. They don't always like everything, but they love trying new stuff.

I did think about finding a 1ts meal and then doing a 1ts breakfast the morning we leave.

When I called and made adr's, the woman made me use a credit card to reserve reservations. She said that any cancellation under 48 hours would result in a charge to our cc. How does that work if what I am reading says we can just change the day of if something else that catches our stomaches is open?

I am going to call again and see if I can get a ressie at Le Cellier.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Any more are certainly appreciated.

I am kind of planning on getting up early (the boys LOVE getting up early - go figure) then coming back to the resort and napping in the middle of the day and then staying out late. The boys actually like staying up late also. They love their life and can't wait to wake up in the morning and never want the day to end so like to stay up late also. Hubby and I sure wish we had felt this way about our childhoods.

I am still reading pages and pages of the disboards. I want to get the meals taken care of and then bring the boys to the computer to show them pictures of the snacks to make sure they get one special thing they each want. Then.....we are going to work on rides and such.

Blessings,
Michele

Which ADRs did you have to use the credit card to hold, the only time we had to use a card to hold a ressie was for the California Grill and thats a 2TS credit place, I think they also do that at other 2TS places... I hope that is not somthing brand new with the new reservation system.

The Water Park & More option is just that, an option on your ticket. Sounds like the travel agent did not do a good job explaining that to you. You could have purchased the following type of tickets:

1. Entry only tickets - good for one park each day (free to come and go)
2. Parkhoppers - Go in and out of any of the theme parks daily
3. Add the Waterpark & More options to either of those tickets

Adding the parkhoppers cost $45 per ticket, no matter the length of the ticket. We found this to be a great option.

Not sure of the waterpark and more option cost, we didn't need it. Suffice to say, it is not free, you paid for it.

Jiko is seen as a quiet restaurant with a more unique and eclectic menu. Based on my limited experience of WDW I would say that there are easier choices for a family of 7, 5 being children to enjoy. As mentioned Narcoossee's is also a 2TS Signature restaurant and would be accomadating and comfy; lots of families there. Also depending on the time of your ressie you can see Wishes (Magic Kingdom fireworks show) from the deck. You would also get to see the Electric Water parade pass by. The food at Narcoossee's is awesome. A DIS favorite is the Surf and Turf: Lobster and Steak, lots of wonderful reviews of this entree, including the steak. Yachtsman is close to your hotel and is also known to serve fine steaks. I can't comment on the comfort for the family as I've never been there. I do know Narcoossee's, so I speak to that. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Boma is an awesome 1TS meal, still at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, very worth visiting both. I don't eat steak, but many think Boma has the best Prime Rib on property; good news for your hubbby: its a buffet so he can eat, and eat and eat!

Your trip is kind of short, so I just thought the boys could do something boyish/raucous while you and DD have some the girl time; I have two brothers and a nephew whom I love dearly, but sometimes mom and I just need some time, ya know! There is so much to do at WDW, just thought that was a way to get in a bit more fun for them.
