I finally convinced my daughter's boyfriend who is 24 to join us on a family vacation to WDW.

DD and I have been needling him for years. Now that we are DVC owners, he suddenly said yes  .

Anyway...I feel the need to impress him. We are thinking about going in May 2004. I think he would really enjoy Epcot, MGM, and Disney Quest. He also loves swimming and water parks, so I am thinking a 2 bedroom at BCV would be a great choice with its proximity to 2 parks, a great pool, and the boardwalk.

Do you agree?

Do you think a BCV 2 bedroom would be available at the 7 month window?

BCV is a beautiful place. I think you would be very happy there. I made my March 2003 ressies back in April 2002 for VWL(home resort). I changed to BCV for a 2 bedroom in November 2002 without any problem. Good luck!

Pig Pen....you can stay at any DVC resort and you will definitely impress your daughter's friend. And based on what you have described, BCV would work very well.

You didn't say how old your daughter and her boyfriend are, but I would also consider BWV. It is very convenient to the two mentioned parks, and has a little busier nightlife. But mostly, if you have two resorts that you can live with, you increase your chances of booking at the 7 month window.

Good luck!

And BTW....I wish my in-laws had seen the need to impress me like that!! :)

Great choice Pig Pen! Although I agree with Granny, any DVC resort is bound to impress him!

The pressure for gettin a ressie at BCV might be off of BCV is SSR is open by then, but does anyone know exactly when SSR is supposed to open?

Last I heard SSR is still Summer 2004 but they're trying for Spring 2004.

Depends on which CM you talk to as to what date you'll hear.

I just added a night to our stay in May last week. There was a 2 bedroom available with only 1 months notice. Maybe I got lucky.....

oooh. I forgot about SSR! Where is it in relation to the parks? I guess I'm not really sure.

My DD and her BF are 23 and 24 (will be 24 and 25 when the trip occurs). DD "likes" Disney, but her BF is barely tolerating the idea of a Disney vacation. Evidently, his parents took him once when he was around 12 or 13 and he thought it was stupid and boring. I think he was just experiencing some teen angst. Of course they stayed off-site and didn't know all the secrets like we do.

Right now he's a Disney snob...he says he doesn't want to be "spoon-fed" a vacation...whatever that means. My goal in life is to convert him!
;)

DH and I are going to stay at BCV this fall so I will be able to scope it out.

Thanks.
