I need someone to validate our PS strategy...

We are headed to POR with the free dining in Oct, so our 90 day limit will be July 5th for calling in our PS.

We have a 5 year old DD, and she wants to do breakfast at CRT and another at Chef Mickey's. We (myself, DW, and DD) will be at WDW for 7 nights, and my parents, brother, and mother-in-law will be with us the first 3 nights. So, we want to do either CRT or Chef Mickey's for breakfast while they are there, and we'll do the other after they are gone.

My plan was, to start calling on the 5th, and try to get CRT. if we get lucky and get it while the family is there, then we'll get Chef Mickey's for later in the week. If we don't get CRT right away, should we book Chef Mickey and then we can cancel it if we end up getting CRT the next day or so?

Also, we were wanting to do Whispering Canyon while the family was there, and possibly Le Cellier. Is it pretty easy to get those PS arrangements? Or do they fill up like CRT? wondering if I should just worry about CRT and Chef Mickey, and then call back to fill in the blanks with the others afterwards.

In the past, we did get CRT and Chef Mickey seating, but for the rest of our meals we just went where we felt at that moment. Now, with the dining plan, and more experience, I'd like to make more PS reservations, so that we don't have to worry about long waits and so forth.

Any advice is appreciated.

LeCellier is pretty popular, and I think Whispering Canyon is getting there, and with the free dining plan I would expect just about all table service to be turning away anyone without a PS. If you want those meals on one of those 3 days, then I would just arrange them when you call for CRT.

When you call, immediately ask for CRT - if they don't have it for you, go ahead and schedule the others. You might as well if you're on the phone already.

If I were you, I'd go ahead and book Chef Mickeys if you can't get CRT and cancel it or change it later just to ensure you get in since you're working with a small timeframe.

Make them all now, and as things change, your dates are nailed down, you decide which parks you want to be at then, you can call and see about changing some.
