*Update*
Thanks again everyone for the Pixie Dust. I just wanted to give everyone an update on what happened. I had my audition on Friday night and it went well, not as well as I'd hoped, but it went well non the less. I had an audition time of 8:40 pm, Friday night. Because I didn't know where this place was, I showed up early, I was there an hour ahead of time. I filled out the necessary paper work, got my resume, headshot and other information all in order and waited. My time came to audition and I proceeded into the room. I got on stage introduced myself and began. The piece I was asked to sing was the tenor aria from Mozart's "The Magic Flute," "Dis Bildnis ist bezauberd schon," for those who might know it. Well, wouldn't you know it, I drew a complete blank when the piece started. I had sung this aria all week, I knew it cold, and yet I drew a memory slip. Well, Beth, the Artistic Director, said that was ok, things happen and to go and take a quick look at the first word. I did and I began again. No problems, the sound was good, and things were moving right along. Then it happned again, a memory slip. But this time I was able to correct the problem after missing one phrase of music. But that's ok, I got through it. I thought I screwed up completely. But apparently I didn't. She didn't have a part for me in this opera, Carmen, but she runs another, albeit smaller, company that she wants me to be a part of. This is great. I get to work with her and she gets to know me as a singer for future productions. Thanks again everyone.
