Don't give up, keep calling right up to when you leave for WDW. Cancellations and change in plans do happen. When you check in at Disney, make an effort to go down to Bayside Marina during the day (between 10am and 5pm) tell them that you are looking for an IllumiNations Cruise and you would like to be put on a waiting list. If you are staying near Bayside Marina (Y&B or BoardWalk) give them your room number.

Final attempt, would be to drop by Bayside Marina around 8-ish and speak to any of the captains (red shirt) milling around, prepping the pontoon boats. Ask them if there have been any cancellation, of if there any chance to get a pontoon boat for IllumiNations.

:flower1: I was hoping to share one to help with the cost! lol I know it is last minute, I was thinking if I wished hard enough and pleated enough, someone would offer pixie dust! lol :flower1:

Well darn it...if I was going sooner, I would definitely share a cruise with ya!! :D

Good luck and sending you lots of pixie dust! :wizard:

you could also go down to boats, and if not filled, see if anyone is willing to share ride.

know I would..

we booked 3 yrs ago, the other family did not show up so we footed the whole bill. so give it a try

and if you don't get it, don't fret. illuminations cruise is a really nice but to be perfectly honest, the boat is not the most advantageous point to be in to watch the show.

on land is actually much better

Where? Where around World Showcase do you get a unobstructed view of not only the Globe and it's images, but also the fireworks? I have been all around World Showcase and aside from the usually closed off, private viewing areas, I have never had a clear, water level view like on the pontoon boats.
And lets not disregard all the time you need to secure a perfect viewing area in advance of the presentation...... I love pulling up 5 minutes before the show is about to begin, and seeing the masses of people waiting on the bridge above the pontoon parking area.

I had a perfect, unobstructed view from the bridge that connect Mexico with Future World. I also had a perfect, unobstructed view from an area in the United Kingdom that bordered one of those private, roped off areas.

Yes, we did have to wait for it, but we met a great couple from West Palm Beach and had some nice conversation before hand.

I loved my Illuminations cruise, and would reccomend one to anybody, but I do have to agree that I had better vantage points from World Showcase.

Just my opinion! :)
